“good business hotel in a peaceful and clean environment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2012

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of weeks and I must say this hotel is best for business trips specially if your office is at the Damansara/Petaling Jaya area. They have in-room internet, an office desk and a work lamp; perfect for extended working hours at the hotel. The LCD TV is big and with HDMI so it is also pefect for bum movie time. The pillows and bed are incredibly comfortable and big. The quality of sleep I got here was just awesome. The view, not much of anything but it is definitely quiet here. The restaurants below were kinda expensive though, except maybe for the buffet they offer which is quite a value for its price (50% off for guests). I tried the Chinese restaurant at the lobby and it caused me 60MYR for a roasted pork and powdered watermelon juice - for me, it is overpriced. The swimming pool and gym were oddly located at the 2nd floor and it was small but it is perfect for relaxing since there was nobody around. Before I stayed here I've read bad reviews about the staff but I didn't really notice it. Except for one instance when I called guests services - I forgot what was it about but the person on the other side on the phone was laughing and talking to somebody in the middle of our conversation. Anyway, that is just only one instance all the staff were nice to me specially the room service guys. All-in-all a good business hotel in a peaceful and clean environment.

Room Tip: there are restaurants on the building beside the hotel. end rooms are quieter.

its a good hotel fr business stay. in ur into holiday trips and plan to roam around or shop, its not that strategic. there are other hotels thats really n the hub of the malls near damansara area.
good customer service, i arrived late midnite, the service is fast. jockey is ok, not the greatest to be compared with others but just ok
a bit pricey to be compared with other hotel in KL, but considering the area is damansara, so we assume the range is normal around the area.
its located near office lots.

It's a high-spec hotel - 4 * - and the rooms are clean and comfortable. But the service is pretty arbitrary and ill-informed, and it has one hidden surprise, of which more in a minute.

Service: it took 3 goes and two phone calls for room service to get a couple of gin and tonics to our room. First time they brought soda water instead of tonic. Second time they forgot the ice. Third time was the charm. The simple problem here is most of the bell boys are immigrants who speak neither good English nor Bahasa Malaysia and don't know what a G&T is. This isn't their fault - but it's the fault of the management who need to train them better in the basics.

Spa: here is where we enter into bizzaro world. The spa here is notorious to locals as a "massage parlour" - where all sorts of non-beauty services are available. And in fact where no actual spa services are....

So if you are - like my girlfriend - actually looking for a massage, and are a woman, you will be told by staff that it is "not for you" and "only for men" and when you ask why, everyone gets very embarrassed and gives long winded non-answers.

Now, we're no prudes and rather that prostitutes work in nice surroundings where their safety can be assured... BUT if you aren't expecting it, and there's no reason you should be, this is very odd setting - it's just next to the pool where kids are playing and next to the gym - for a knocking shop, or even a happy ending parlour.

My girlfriend took great pleasure in complaining to the front desk about this, where a collection of acutely embarrassed Malaysian ladies all looked at their feet and claimed that "it wasn't their responsibility as the hotel rented out the space"....

Very comfortable bed, wonderful friendly staff at reception, room attendants, swimming pool and restaurant. Love the jacuzzi early in the morning when there's no crowds, the landscape around the pool is very soothing. It was end of the year and we could hear fireworks. Free WIFI, Free parking, coffee and tea making facility. Close enough to One Utama.

I like this hotel as the location is very convenient for me to visit my contacts in Damasara or in PJ area. Besides, it has free shuttle bus services to all major shopping malls. It is also easy to move just outside city centre which is too choked up with traffic jams if you stay in traditional Bt Bintang area. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and soft. The breakfast has a good spread of international local Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western choices. The internet service is fast as I have 3 smartphones gadgets with me. I forgot to bring my contact lens solution and then friendly and pleasant staff was very helpful to accompany me to the nearest 7-eleven to buy. I highly recommend anyone to stay here.
