Cool place and relaxing. Facilities are commendable and the is one of the best place to bring your family for weekend or holidays. It take only 20 minutes by local taxi and the fare is fair.Excellent road and enjoyable sight seeing while on the way to the site. A place surely you and family gonna remember.

I can write a long story about this place...I will try to keep it short.

The good thing about this place is the lovely location, in the bush, next to the beach, but my advice: think twice before coming to this place!

The accomodation is old and rundown especially the cabins like the one we got at first, do not book those! Dirt, dust and mold everywhere in the rooms. Broken airconditioners. The treehouses are a bit better but are not very clean aswell and another broken aircon which was fixed later on. One of our treehouses had a bad flushing toilet...

The common areas do look nice. The nature pool is not appealing, it looks like non filtered and non chlorined water.

Diner and breakfast service were not bad but very basic, same menu every day, white rice, vegetables and chicken.

Bad service on our accomodation complaint, only after interference from Bookings our complaints were partly solved, cleaning was still not done properly, but we got better accomodation and working airconditioners.

The worst thing about this place was a (in our opinion) threatening presence of a maintanance worker at the reception, sitting on the sofa playing with a large bush knife when my husband went informing about the progress of our complaint and service request! Maybe it was unintentionally and not a real threat but it felt not good!!

My children and I did not feel safe anymore and we left the next morning.

At check-out they made us pay a surcharge because of our upgrade to the threehouses. If we did not pay extra it would have been substracted from the receptionist salary because she made a mistake by telling us it would not cost more. We do not like this kind of blackmail at all!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. In particular in restaurant. Taking care of special meal requests (vegetarian). Nice restaurant area, food (buffet) good but limited choice. Mocktails subject to availabilty of ingredients. Treehouse in middle of primary rain forest is unique experience. Room is simple but functional. Rainforest in hotel area offers very varied wildlife particulary at night. Observe proboscis monkey around 5:30pm, silver langur, flying lemur, agamides, squirrels and lots of different insects all within hotel area. Second beach offers nice sunset.

Great place to stay, nightwalks a really good way to see green viper, bats, slow loris, stick insects, spiders, lizards...monkeys playing outside...night mangrove tour good - no dolphins but crocodiles & firefly...

But - beware a bit grubby, food v variable, cabins apparently have rats chewing your gear...really worthwhile if you are so passionate about nature you can overlook the faults (basically I can from the treehouse...but maybe not so good if just the cabin avail)... but if you want a bit more comfort go next door and book onto tours with Borneo tours for a similar adventure...

We booked a cabin, it looks large and nice, but we where situated next to a large group who had there meetings next to our door. The lady at the reception offerde us a upgrade to a treehouse, but the childeren had to sleep on the floor. It was Oke, but not really an upgrade while the price is the same I saw later and now the kids have to sleep on thin matrassen on the floor. The aircondition did not work properly, but the view was Good and the beach and restaurant where Nice. DON’T BOOK THE BAKU TOUR WITH THEM. It was really expensive for Just a boottaxi and a quick lunch at the boot, beach when we where allready back at 15:00. That’s 5hout without drinks and meal provided. In Baku you have to walk on your oen. You can get better and guided tours to BaKu in Kuching. The lady at the reception did’nt care for it and was Just looking at the computer, Seh thought it was normal that we didn’t get a proper tour for that amount of money.
