We came back to telang Usan following a visit about 9 years ago, when we spent 3 days in Kuching in March 2012. Telang Usan looks a little bit dodgy when you arrive, its tucked away in an odd cul de sac and the greenery around the hotel looks slightly overgrown and daunting. Be brave - this is a gem of an affordable hotel, with lovely staff and a surprisingly good breakfast.
The room we stayed in was clean, but possibly a little stale when we first arrived - once the air con was on the room was fine - large bed, slightly out of date TV but it doesn't matter becuase you're in Kuching to sight see and wander. The hotel is in a great location - 5 minutes walk from the waterfront, china town, the markets.....More
