The Old Courthouse Complex with its clock tower at the junction of Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Jalan Gambier and Main Bazaar, opposite the Kuching Waterfront was the first place that we visited in Kuching. It now house the Visitors Information Centre, National Parks Booking Office, a travel company and restaurant ('little Lebanon') among others. There's a nice inner courtyard and a small garden in front of the Old Courthouse where the Brooke Memorial (Charles Brooke monument) is. I must say that the entire place is well maintained and mostly put to good use, allowing Kuching to continue to retain that old-world charm.
