“The best spot for seafood”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

Triggered by Tripadvisor reviews, we visited Top Spot Food court twice, with both meals being high quality, relatively cheap and fun.
The system is simple: You select a vendor, you select from the vendor what you want to eat and you sit at a table.
We first visited Lot 25, the next day ABC. Both had the freshest seafood, cooked really well and for a good price.

In addition, the atmosphere is great. It is a bustling place with hundreds of people enjoying their seafood.

All in all, well worth the visit, it doesnt get better than this.

“Poor”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

This was such a dissapointing dinner out. We went to number 25 stall and had very dry tough squid, prawns yuk and the fish just ok. Very expensive compared to most other meals out. Would not go or recommend to others. Best seafood we had was in KK at the fishmarket on the waterfront... now that was good and at a fraction of the cost!

“Touristy”

A safe place to take guests as this is a halal (aka kosher) food centre above a multi-level carpark. Seafood is the main attraction. Order and have it cooked the way you prefer. The fresh fruit and coconut juices are memorable.

“Not what you expect above the car park!”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

We had such a good time at Top Spot. Selecting from among the vendors was a challenge - especially since each one looked pretty much like its neighbors and there was someone in front of each trying to lure us in. We ended up at #32 (the last or next to last from the elevators) both because we were tired fending off the touts and because the lovely lady there made a suggestion. She told us to pick a fish (we selected red grouper - yum!!) and she would cut it in half, steam half w/ginger and soy and fry half w/oyster sauce. That sounded like a plan. We selected some veg from a lovely, fresh assortment and they were stir fried w/oyster sauce. Everything was delicious and, washed down w/Tiger came to MR68 (about $23) - what a deal! Plus we were surrounded by locals, the energy level was high and it was a wonderful experience.

“So yummy and such good value!”
Reviewed 15 April 2012

Just had dinner at the Top Spot Food Court in Kuching. The fish was absolutely scrumtious and all at bargain prices! Thoroughly recommend the carrot milk drink too! No, it's not milk from carrot but carrot juice mixed with milk!

Try another local delicacy there called Kuching Bamboo! I won't tell you any more about this but it's reputedly only available around here!
