Dear Jane, We had an incredible time staying in your penthouse. Thank you for being so accommodating from the very start. Your friendliness and warmth will be most remembered. The house was clean and well maintained - certainly there isn't a bad thing to say about it. It was just the home away from home we needed. It was a very peaceful place as well. We absolutely loved the surroundings, the location and the security provided. We would definitely look you up again in the near future. Thank you so much! God bless.

We went to Ipoh to attend my Nephews wedding. I have mixed feelings about this apartment and Ipoh in general. Well, on the whole Ipoh i guess is not a place that anyone would recommend you to go to as a holiday destination. It has some breathtaking views of the mountain etc, but it is just a small town/city not designed for tourism. Many of us travelled to Ipoh on this occasion from Australia and stayed different places. Everyone has been thoroughly disappointed with their accommodations. Even the ones who stayed in the 4 1/2 star Kinta Riverfront apartment. This accommodation from the outside looks like you are entering a derelict building. The whole street is like that. I think as the place gets a lot of rainfall all throughout the year, most buildings have this black stain on the outer wall.
But owners Jane and Simon are very friendly and helpful. But if you ignore how it looks outside, its not a bad apartment. The rooms are rather spacious and comfy. The pillows could be bit more fatter. Rather a large area for dining and lounge. Would have liked an A/c in this area as well, however it was manageable with fans and A/c in the rooms. The kitchen is ok, just one corner is a bit messy, a few cupboards missing some doors and looks a bit messy, But the bathrooms need a complete change. It is near impossible to keep it dry as when you shower all the water comes in to the toilet area. But you find that most toilets in Ipoh and also in Penang are not dry toilets. So i guess its a cultural difference we had to get used to. But had good water pressure for the shower. (some of of our friends staying at other hotels complained that the water would suddenly stop when they are showering) this did not happen for us.
Owners Simon and Jane are very nice people. Jane had injured her leg and so we didnt get to meet her much, but communicating on the phone most times, but she sent Simon to take us sight seeing and find good places to eat etc. Which was so so nice of them. They also showed us their other apartment. Which is very very nice. To all western travellers i would recommend you stay there instead of here.
