just back from switzerland and the weather is so different over here comparing with switzerland. took like 4 hours to arrive at the place. the surrounding was nice, and the staffs were very friendly and they are willing to help you to the maximum without any hesitations. the room that i stayed in had problem with the air conditioner. maintenance guy came and he told us about the problem and i requested to change my room. without hesitation, receptionist changed my room to another floor with a better air conditioning but in the bathroom, hand towels were missing and the sink wasnt being cleaned properly. maybe due to the rush of exchanging the room. but in my opinion, standard of hygiene should be there and the bathroom should be well cleaned. the environment overall was good but there is a cockroach running around the building. mosquitoes are around too. there should be more restaurant around so that guests dont have to drive far away to get nice food... hopefully water sports activities would be great too. :) but for friendliness and courtesy.. they are good!

Stayed early June over the weekend. Drove to Cherating. Took us about 4+ hours from Kuala Lumpur. Booked 4 rooms as big family went. Rooms requested to be near to one another. Hotel provided that. The rooms although rather old were clean. When called housekeeping to clean, they came promptly. Had a minor issue with the tv and they resolved the problem. Pool was big and good for non swimmers and swimmers alike. Beach area was clean and nice. Did not had breakfast at the hotel but did order from room service. Food ordered was ok. Overall, pleasant stay. Short drive to Kemaman town to buy famous local delicacies. Will come again as the hotel is family oriented. Kids and adults enjoyed the pool, beach and breathtaking view.

What was once, a long time ago, a very nice resort is now crumbling. From decrepit looking rooms with nails jutting out from the bed's frames due to lazy workmanship to parts of the pool being cordoned off due to tiles coming off.
Staff is generally quite friendly but management is invisible, it seems.

It took us, and most others who arrived around the same time as we did, up to four hours to check in due to the place being quite full because of school holidays . . . why they only had two or three people at check-in/out is a mystery.

Bathroom was simply awful. Trying to open the door to the balcony was a Herculean task. Pillows were more like very large, hard marshmallows, giving one a stiff neck.

Oh, and this was the room we were moved to after we had to leave the initial one due to the aircon being stuck on full and freezing temperatures - not ideal when you enter still wet from the pool or sea

I can understand that maintaining a resort by the sea is difficult but a modicum of maintenance is really necessary.

Room Tip: get there very, very early and be prepared to wait if it is any kind of holiday

The resort was running a family package for RM550 (before taxes) for 2 nights' of stay. Had thought it sounded like a fantastic deal, till we saw the state of the room. Anyway, first, the check-in process took more than 30 mins, as apparently there were some confusions/miscommunications. This was surprising as I had made the booking via the hotel's own website. Second, even though the package was supposed to come with a guaranteed upgrade if the booking was made 7 days before checking-in, that was not true. I was still given a superior room because the resort was fully booked. Next the room. Alas the comments from panaroL were very frank indeed - the room badly needed refurbishment, especially the furniture. The bathroom had a small leak as well, hence the floor of the toilet was perpetually wet. The only saving grace was that the bedsheets were clean and the aircon worked. The resort had only 1 F&B outlet, and the prices are a bit steep, i.e. RM 23 for a plate of spaghetti. Would not have dined there if not for the package deal where kids eat for free. There isn't really much you can do at resort save for hanging around the pool and the beach. The beach was ok and not crowded, though one should not expect to see crystal clear waters. The gym had only 1 treadmill, so one will have to wait if there are others at the gym. Overall, the stay was kinda disappointing. Perhaps we went at the wrong time as it was Msia's school holidays, but unless you get the refurbished rooms, i,e. deluxe seaview, do consider others hotels.

we went there in our honeymoon, after a tiring 24 hours flights we arrived at hotel, it seemed old but we were hoping to get good rooms, the first surprise was the bathroom, the surrounding of the sink was black and the tub was very dirty, we said we will clean it ourselves, then went to the bed and it was full of ants!!!! we went to the reception and they offered us another room which has the same problem, then another room with the same problem, finally they gave us one of the new rooms and it was better but not good enough to stay, the second day we went to the pool, pool is nice, after that we went to the only and only restaurant there and the food sucks.. finally we left the same day although we paid in advance for one week..
