Checked into the resort on Wed, had to wait a while before the room was given to us (tho' we did booking since Dec 2011) The room was spacious. Not too clean. Our bedsheet had sand particles. Water pressure in the shower too was bad, lots of water leak and the next day, we informed the resort's management abt it. Sleep quality was bad...could hear guests with children walking/running along the corridor. The guests in the room above us were busy dragging some furniture at night. I only found the pool to be great, then again, no proper swimming gear was used...everyone was jumping in with tracksuits/t-shirt etc...Breakfast : an array of choice...western/oriental/local.
Kuantan town is abt 40 mins drive away.
Walk on the beach and along the left hand side of the resort, there is a bar called 'Coco Cabana' Nice place to chill...u get to sip your beers to the sounds of the waves. Very reasonable prices too.

Room Tip: Ask for the highest floor so that you dont get to hear anyone thomping feet above your room when you are asleep. Preferably a room in the far end so that it will be quiet.

We had never been to the Malaysian east coast, so we purchased a Groupon deal for 3D/2N. We checked in Saturday afternoon. The large lobby is quite nice, and the staff are friendly, but we had a hard time understanding the man at the counter. The 'legend' part of the resort is wearing a bit thin. The room was spacious and clean but dated. The furniture was old. The TV was the old style and when we watched a movie in wide-screen it was like looking at an iPad. The gem of this resort, what makes or doesn't make it a 'legend' is the waterfront. Beautiful, long, wide, and sandy beaches. We unknowingly booked a school holiday weekend, so there were a lot of families and sounds of children around, but it wasn't too bad. Although there is such a beautiful beach, it is not maintained at all. While walking along the beach, I picked up a broken bottom from a glass bottle with jagged triangles of glass sticking up, just like a land-mine waiting for someone to step on it. We brought two lounge chairs down to the breach as there were none there. I decided to pick up some of the plastic bottles, cigarette packages, etc. in a 10m circumference around our chairs and made a separate pile of the rubbish. In ten minutes I had a heaping pile. The next day my garbage pile was still there. The workers from the shop that rents 4-wheelers and banana boat rides sit around and wait for customers. I thought they could at least clean up the beach while waiting for business, and since they've got the vehicles, why not rake the beach? The staff in the restaurant/cafe were very friendly, helpful, polite and their English was very good. I would come back to this hotel, and hope that a manager will notice the condition of the beach and fix that problem. At check-out we ran into some problems. The Groupon deal stated that we would get two breakfasts, plus 20% discount on food and drinks (not including promotional items), and one session of archery for two. We received only one discount for drinks and for the other food and drinks they claimed were not valid because it was the cafe by the beach. The cafe by the beach is still part of the hotel, and even uses the same kitchen in the only restaurant. He brushed off questions about the archery and apologized for any inconvenience, smiling through it all. I wanted to rate this resort at 3 1/2 because it's really somewhere between average and very good.

Room Tip: The Groupon deal comes with a 'garden view' room, which was fine. We could still see the sea across the gardens and pool. The upgrade for a 'sea view' was considerably more money.

My friends and I loved this hotel. The rooms we got were very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was cool and beach was amazing. A huge breakfast spread was also included in the price of the hotel. While it was not super cheap it was very comfortable!

One word of advice...the operators of the ATV shack (apparently not affiliated with the hotel itself) next to the pool did not seem overly concerned about the safety of its guests. After paying for and going off on a jungle ATV adventure, my friend decided to turn back when he saw how dark it was actually going to be in the jungle. They also offered to take us on an island hopping trip (in Februaty weather) but said they would give us a refund should anything happen. Which is besides the point! So yes, very little concern for customer safety.

Just came back from 3 days 2 nights trip from here! It's terrible and sucks. Stay at villa resort, the room is dirty, old and not well maintained.

Nothing much to do here, a boring resort to stay. Just the swimming pool and seaside is awsome, the rest of it is terrible include the foods there.

Besides, the only thing i would like to praise is their service. My boyfriend accidentally break the room key into 2, half left inside the key hole. Within 15 minutes after we made a phone call to repair department, the technician came and fix it.

Went for a 3 days 2 nite trip to Legend Resort at Cherating in Kuantan. Stay in a Deluxe Room facing the sea.Room is big and spacious. Just a relaxing holidays with family and friends. Went swimming at the pool and strolling at the beach.Since it was a weekend service was a bit slow due to big crowd.(Hotel was fully booked.)

Room Tip: Rooms at higher floor facing either the sea or pool.
