“Stay at Sri Intan Resort, Tanah Rata”
Reviewed 15 October 2008

The 3 hours drive from KL and up beautiful and winding road to Camerons amidst cooling rainforest is an experience you should not missed. We stayed at Sri Intan Resort in Tanah Rata greeted with a warm welcome personally by their CEO. They served great local and western dishes with very friendly chef who would sit and share simple recipes with you if you're lucky on that day!!. Excellent service and friendly staffing compared to my previous other experiences at EQ in Brinchang. Lots of privacy plus personalized service at resort too.

We toured various spots in small town Brinchang during the day and nights and of course Tanah Rata where we got ourselves warm refreshing coffee at their newly opened Starbucks. Did jungle trekking and took the 2 hour trails along Robinson's waterfall down to Habu, walked through tea plantation, checked some impressive rafflesias after 3 hrs uphill walk in the jungle (up north) , played decent 18 hole golf, had tasty strawberry ice cream and banana fritters for tea and .... of course enjoying the nice scenery and cool weather.

You should not miss the following:
1. Sg. Palas Boh plantation visit (factory and teahouse)
2. trip to 5,999 feet Gunung Brinchang
3. a 4WD experience to Orang Asli village
4. trek along Robinson's
5. great photography at golf course
6. delicious local cuisine at Sri Intan

“Only if you've lots of time on your hands”
Reviewed 8 August 2007

Despite great views of tea plantations and a "must see" status in most travel guides I couldn't stop but feel disappointed when I was there. I didn't get the breath of fresh air expected as it was quite dirty and a bit of a mess really. My advice is , go only if you love hiking.

“Great cooling place to relax”
Reviewed 15 November 2006

Was at Cameron Highlands for a full day. Enjoyed the cool climate alot. Cameron is a well known hill resort in Malaysia and it's at 1524m above sea level.

Was there with 6 other friends and we joined some local tours - The Nature Discovery tour in the morning and the Agro Delight tour in the afternoon.

The morning tour was for about 4 hrs (RM $60). We had a tour guide and van to our group, therefore it's more personalised. Went to Mount Brinchang, trekked into the mossy forest, visited the tea plantation and the natives' villages.

The afternoon tour was about 5 hours (RM $65). Visited the cactus valley, strawberry farm, flower nursery, water-cress farm, open terraces of conventional farming, organic farming, hydroponics vegetable farm etc. Dinner's included and we enjoyed the tour and dinner.

Overall ... we enjoyed so much and didn't mind that we stayed there only for a short time. The people were friendly and the tour guides are very professional and knowledgeable.

“Romantic Weather!!”
Reviewed 10 May 2005

Cameron Highlands..whenever I shall think of it in the future, I shall always remember the lovely climate and will always feel a rush of that fresh and cool mountain air pass me by. For a short change from the artificially cold air con environments, Cameron Highlands is lovely just to feel the romanticism in the cool air!! The vibrant colours of the natural flora and fauna in the highlands add to its beauty. Go there just to feel the weather!!
