Review of Labuan Beach

Labuan Beach
Reviewed 8 July 2015

Since Labuan is an island, it is surrounded by beaches and sea. I loved this and can never get enough of it. It is recommended to rent a cr while you are here, you will not get lost as its within an island. Also pls ensure you have sunblock with you to avoid sunburn.

Went snorkeling- and it was amazing. The corals are huge since it hasn't been explored commercially. The fishes are shy:- mostly since their only encounter with humans are the fishermen. However, it was a treat to hv the whole snorkeling area all to your self. Our guides are friendly and alert of our safety without being intrusive. The whole experience made me want yo take up diving so that I can admire the coral beds up close

since Labuan is well known as a Oil hub the east sude of island is occupied with many offshore vessels on amchorage. there is also mainly a lot of local people gethering at weeekends and gaving BBQ and parties at the beach. The public workers are trying to keep beach clean but iit is like pissing against the wind. water is very polutted with plastic bags, rags, cans and other garbage which is really pitty as beach structure is nice and have potential.
west side is complete diferent story- beaches there are much more clean and more lonely. so if you want privacy and having fun and enjoy go to the west side of the aislan. there is one hotel as well. acalled Palm beach resort!

there was nothing much happening when I was there. Maybe this was because of the month Ramadan. I have to see it in another time window to give an honest feed back of the place.
