there was nothing much happening when I was there. Maybe this was because of the month Ramadan. I have to see it in another time window to give an honest feed back of the place.

Labuan is a quiet island that promises a quiet weekend away. Its duty-free status allows visitors to indulge in items such as chocolates and alcohol at tax free rates, while the seafood offered here is also excellent. The Chimney still proves to be a mystery, while a bit of hiking off the Chimney trail would get you up on a small hill where you can see the gorgeous sea off some cliffs. There are some nice beaches to explore as well here.

Went to the Beaches several times over a month's stay, and only say people on the Beach once. December had nothing to do with it, due to the year round tropical weather. If you want a public beach all to yourself, you got it!

I just visited Labuan to see the wonderful memorial to the Australian troops who died on the Death March in Borneo and where the Australians took the surrender of the Japanese in Borneo.

We must honour these troops who died for us. Please if you visit Kot Kinabula think of Labuan
