Last time i was here in October 1992. I am 10 years old back then. The coastline was far and wide and there were many pillboxes around that was build by the British. The pillboxes were used as defence against the Japanese attack during World War 2 as the attack and landing on Sabak Beach happened earlier than the attack on Pearl Harbor. But nowadays the scenery and the beach had been altered. Corrosion had affected the coastline and the fishing villages that were once scattered near the beach head. But rest assured, may be one day Sabak Beach will emerge again like the Rhu Tujuh Beach in Tumpat Kelantan. There once a time Rhu Tujuh Beach become corroded and a few years back the beach had emerge once again. Try to talk to the locals about the history and what Sabak Beach once used to be, if they knew English, they'll surely answered you.

Difficult to get there as there are no buses. We got there but not to the right spot a bit off but were able to see some of the traditional Kelantan fishing boats in a creek.
