If you come from the city, you will find berjaya a.very refreshing resort as it is built in the forest. We had a rainforest chalet of a hidden seaview and I do enjoy watching the sea with my duty free alcohol on hand.
Be careful of the local monkeys as they are quite destructive. I was bemused with these creatures as one of them tore out the cover of the street lamp and let it roll down the slope. We find the dusky leaf monkeys very adorable as they are shy and have cute whitw circles around their eyes. The driver spotted a flying lemur for us. Squirrels were scurrying around the pool area looking for food

My friend and I are picky eaters. Berjaya's breakfast has quite a good spread and we do enjoy our breakfast tremendously. Coming from Singapore, we find the thai restaurant quite a letdown. The foods expensive, non authentic and the waitress was unable to give recommendation. We waited very long for the shuttle to fetch us back to our chalet. In the end, we had to.walk back. We had more satisfying meals at the nearby Priviledge restaurant at the tengala harbour.

What sets berjaya apart is the tranquility. If you want to get away from city, this is the place to be. Ask for a more secluded chalet. The shuttles are very efficient bringing u back and forth the lobby.

It has an excellent location, right on sea shore amidst dense forest. The time when we stayed there, the sea water was infested with Jelly Fish & we got its strings too. It has a good water sport facility too.

I stayed at Berjaya in Langkawi. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary in peace and give time to each other, that we normally dont during our hectic lifestyle in Delhi. Our chalet had a wonderful location - a beautiful view of the sea. The food was nice and the staff courteous. Their spa Ayura is good but I have been to better spas in Delhi. We saw a lot of families with children of different age groups having fun..while we did not take along our kids, I think there's lot to keep kids busy and smiling!!

Room Tip: Request the reception staff with a smiling face..they gave me with a very beautiful chalet overlooking the sea

Stayed for 7 nights at the Berjaya and compared to the Maldives this is the best place and hotel we have stayed in.
Virgin holidays have it down as a 3+ but it is under rated.
Located was excellent and our room a Rainforest studio was just wonderful with so much room, enormous bathroom with stand alone bath and separate shower. the bed was 6ft 6" so plently of space to chill out.
Stayed half board and they allowed us to use an allowance on our prepaid tokens in all the restaurants which was good value. Glass of wine under £5 and can of coke £2.
Both the beach and pool had plently of sunbeds, although some were reserved and people not seen for a few hours, which does bug me.
Hotel near the cable car , which was quite an experience and should not be missed considering we were so close and from the beach, we would sit in the sea and watch the cars go up and down.
Overall a wonderful 7 days with friendly staff who were not expecting a tip for just smiling.

We booked one night stay at Rainforest Chalet. The chalet is warm, cozy, and the ambience is so romantic. The hotel was so kind in arranging birthday cake to surprise my wife. We are truly relaxed and enjoyed!

Room Tip: Book in advance to enjoy great discount!
