Recently stayed for 1 night with a group of 8 colleagues. We had 8 rooms and also booked transport through the hotel so you might expect a little in the way of customer service, Not at the Hollywood Inn!!!!

We arranged for the hotel to organize transport for us from the hotel to a ski resort in the mountains. Upon check out the porter took my case out of my hands and told me he was loading in onto coach as he was with the rest of my colleagues luggage, before boarding the coach I asked him directly if my luggage was on the coach to which he said "YES". Needless to say when we arrived at the resort my luggage was not there, what followed was 4 hours of fascicle arguments over the phone and appalling customer service. It was near impossible to speak to the manager who took no interest at all, the porter himself changed his story numerous times, firstly I didnt give him my case, next I collected it back from him, next I asked him to put it back in my room ( a perfectly logical request for someone checking out!!!!!!). Eventually he admitted his mistake but the hotel would take no action.

Through a combination of frustration, boredom and a desire for the Hollywood Inn to not totally ruin my holiday I agreed to pay for a taxi to bring my case to resort.

Congratulations Hollywood Inn you scammed me out of $70, unfortunately you lose out on thousands of $ in future booking when my colleagues and I next return to Beirut.

Trying learning some honesty, integrity and while your there CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Room tip: Be prepared to pay the Lebanese Tax (I.e be ripped off and scammed at every possible opportunity)

I stayed in this Hotel during September, i stayed in the Junior suite, it is great, clean, spacious and the view was awewsome. The standard rooms were good too but the view was horrible, overlooking between buildings. There was a Juacuzzi to my surprise and the best part is that there is a window in the bathroom wall so you can enjoy the great sea view […]

The worst decision i have made in my trip in Lebanon. the hotel not clean and we have observe that from the lobby tabol.you can watch the finger print for many people perhaps from one week ago "maybe they aim to high security services". and the service was late,I have request for burger meal by 7:00 pm and it came to me by 7:45 pm "45 min for burger and potato's fingers".
I have reserved a Senior Suite .and my wife found some hair in the shower basin. The jacuzzi when I came in with my wife plenty of dirts come out from the tubes and its pollute our bodys .in the end we have noticed no body flush the jacuzzi tubes. the operators try to keep the smile in front disk to hide the hotel bad impression. from other hand when I wont to watch the view from our suite i have found the window glass front out side not clean. from other hand the p/rice comparing to services considered to be high. I don't recommend this hotel an will never go back even if it became by 30 USD.

Pros:

1) Our Junior Suite room was spacious, modern and well equipped with lovely sea views and a large balcony.
2) Rooftop swimming pool and bar.
2a) Chez Sami is walkable.
3) It has its own strip club in the basement. Not even Claridge's has one of these.
4) Free internet.
5) Free round-the-clock pornography.
6) Perfectly located for tourists and sex tourists alike.
7) The thrones in the lobby have been put there without a hint of irony.

Cons:

1) The staff are as useless as most other places in Beirut, but endearing in a Manuel from Fawlty Towers kind of way.
2) Room service is ridiculously overpriced.
3) Daily haggling with the optimistic in-house driver soon becomes tiring and boring.

A great place to stay in large groups for a bit of a giggle but not exactly suitable for bringing the family.
