Great hotel directly on the beach. Our three bed room was on the ground floor with a big terrace. We were on an all-inclusive stay and that was perfect for us this time. The room was ok, the single bed was not very good compare to the double bed. There was not many guests when we were there and thus it was easy to find a place both at the beach and also by the pool. Even though we had buffet three times a day, we loved the food and it was so much to choose from. Despite this, being so close to the sea, we could have wished for more sea food. The staff in the restaurant were very service minded and we felt very well looked after. The whole stay was like a fairytale..

Room Tip: Rooms not close to the reception area are more quiet.

I’m here right now writing a review from my big balcony with a nice garden view. After 2 hours drive from an airport we got to a cosy hotel in a local style with not to many rooms. That means no noise, no crowds, no kids - perfect. I was hoping for what I found here - after seeing loud families starting holiday with a lot of alcohol in a plain I am so relieved that they all stained around Mombassa. I can’t give comment on food yet but whole personnel so far was extremely friendly - not in a trained/proper way like in many places - it is natural friendliness, it’s how they are.
Hotel appliances are ok, not what you see in Europe but if that’s what your looking for to experience instead of local culture and feeling you are a tourist going to a wrong direction;)

Where do I start, we brought a 12 strong party of family members to Sandies for around 8 nights including 4 children, from the moment we arrived and met the head chef AYAZ checking on the new comers to see if they had dietary requirements, the trip was very special. I have stayed at many AI hotels around different countries and have never seen a Head Chef get in amongst the guests checking all is ok, what more can he and they do, and just 100% focused on customer experience and quality, well done! Ayaz you set the bar high for all the AI i may go too now! i don't think i struggled with any food any day that i felt what will i enjoy, i enjoyed it all, so thank you, i can imaging the headache with catering for so many.

The staff are exceptional helpful also, special thanks to Robert our waiter, Denise the waitress from Dreams, where we had enjoyed the lavish candlelight dinner, which was a stunning display of seafood, amazing setting and just a stunning dinner, Timothy, Joachim i think who was with Denise, cooks also great help, young Benjamin, the ever smiling Felix, and Ali, fish and pancake guys whos name escape me, thank you all so much, even the porters and cleaners are so helpful.

Rooms are good, some challenges with shower and drainage, but to be expected this is Africa after all isn't it! Animation team are great the guys and Doris were very attentive.

The only minor issue was the Masai Market was bit chaotic and felt like a pressured sale, but that's the only negative i can add.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and due to caring nature of the staff i have mentioned, and efforts of the Ayaz to make sure we were happy with food, i would recommend again and again. Thank you Sandies for making our trip so special.

Room Tip: family rooms are older, new suite for couples more modern
