The Tokyu Rei is an attractive modern hotel about a 15-minute walk from the JR Station. We did this with a small amount of luggage, but a taxi might be a better option of you have large suitcases or a number of items to tote. The hotel is just a block from the bus line that goes to Ritsurin Gardens (very nice). The ferry landing for the art island is about 15-minutes by taxi. There are quite a few restaurants and shops near the hotel.

Our room (604) was adequate but a bit small. The king-size bed was comfortable, but it was so large it had to be pushed against one wall making access difficult for the person sleeping on that side. There was an open closet, a desk, a mini-fridge and counter-top hot water maker with tea and coffee packets, and a pay-per-view flat screen tv. The compact bathroom was attractive, with a shower/tub combo, the usual Japanese starship captain’s chair toilet, and a bit of counter space for toiletries. A.c was quiet and effective, and the wifi was stable and fast.

The breakfast buffet had a good selection of both western and Japanese items.

All in all, the Tokyu Rei is a pleasant and convenient place to stay in Takamitsu.

This hotel is near the main shopping street and a short walk to the rail stations and attractions. Rooms are small, but comfortable. There is a nice breakfast buffet. I enjoyed my stay here very much.

Very clean, very small rooms. Small prefab bathrooms. Average restaurant and good staff. Very good location at midrange prices. Not a bad choice for middle of the hotel range of places to stay. Free breakfast ok.

during last autumn we visited Takamatsu town and stay in this very very tiny Japanese room for 3 nights, but this is not our main reason to come here, we managed to visited the most famous art museums at the islands of Naoshima and Teshima, it was lovely holiday, i would like to said i can't speak any Japanese but the people here are so friendly and very helpful, will lot of information from the hotel, it make our trip so smooth and marvellous.

Room Tip: tall guy !!! this is not kind of hotel for you

Really central and handy location. Right next to the main shopping street.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast had lots of choices.

Everything you could need is close by. Would definitely stay here again.
