There are a lot of fresh seafood sell here. Besides sea food, some of the vendors sell fruits, snacks. there is a tuna cutting show also, after the show, they put small amount of the fresh cutting of tuna fish to be tasted, it was great. On the second level, there is a restaurant, it was buffet, you can eat everything served.

They are offering two types of promotions for carpark, but you can choose to use only either one:

2 hours free parking for 2000 yen or more food purchase

OR

1 hour free parking for 1000 yen or more for purchase of souvenirs

Please note:
1. Only for cars parked at the carpark outside the market (next to the Kinokuni Fruit Village)
2. Only the purchase made at the Kuroshio Market counts. Those made at the Fruit Village are invalid)

This is more a shopping arcade for tourists than a real, working market. That's not to say it's bad, it's just what it is. The tuna cutting demonstration is amazing to watch. Buying food and barbecuing it right there is a cool thing to do.

Alot of fresh seafood to buy and eat. Got to watch the Tuna filleting event. (11:00am, 12:30p, and 3:00pm) If you come via public Bus, best to check the bus timings when u reached the market. You might have to wait up to an hour if i remember correctly.

We visited the fish market located inside the Marina City island in Wakayama. Free grills for trials are available for free in some of the particular restaurants / shops. The fish was really fresh and tasty. There are lots of different seafood related dry foods to purchase in the shops, and the foods were good too. Overall a very relaxing and nice experience in this fish market.
