A very quaint Japanese Ryokan style property at walking distance from the World Heritage shrine site. Staff were very friendly & warm. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. The Japanese breakfast was lovely with a nice view of the surrounding mountains.

This ryokan is actually quite large. The front entrance is deceptive. Nice onsen. Some rooms have private bathroom and loos. Beddings/tatamis are good quality. Staff are very friendly. This hotel is a quiet location, a short walking distance from the key shrines (World Heritage) and from the city. Take half board because restaurants are rare to find in the Evening in Nikko.
We enjoyed our stay there. They have a free car park for guests opposite the hotel

Stayed for two nights in this ryokan at walking distance from Toshogu.

The staff is very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay there. The room is a big tatami room, with toilet and shower. There is Wi-Fi in the rooms with good signal.

Also there are public and private bath. We used the private bath, both indoor and open-air, a good way to relax after a long day walking around Nikko.

The bus stop near the ryokan will take you to lake chuzenji and to the station, and since the red bridge and toshogu are nearby, it is pretty convenient. They also have shuttle service to the stations.

The food was good, we had two different kind of breakfast in the two mornings we spent there both in restaurant and private space. I missed some breakfast for westerners, at least some coffee would have been good.

The dinner was shabu shabu , and many other dishes that satified us completely.

There is nothing in the surroundings so, if you plan to buy food, drinks or snacks, better bring them from somewhere near the station!

We were extremely happy with their service. The hotel is located in a quiet area, next to the creek and about 20 mins walking distance to Toshogu shrine. The room is Japanese style with tatami floor and basic amenity as well as yukata (simple form of kimono you wear in the hotel) is provided. Upon arrival, we booked private outdoor hot spring (at cost), which was especially wonderful for my partner because he cannot usually enter public hot spring due to his tattoo. Dinner (Japanese Kaiseki) was served at restaurant but in a private room. Variety of dishes served and attention to detail to each one of them was splendid. The waitress was able to explain the menu in English and her service was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and kind. One of them even offered us a lift to Nikko station after we came back from Lake Chuzenji to pick up our luggage (which was stored at the hotel after checking out) late afternoon as he knew that we wouldn't be able to get on the bus (the buses to the station come in full from the lake). We were grateful for his kind gesture and we certainly recommend this hotel.

100m. From bus stop no.10 , Good service and nice onsen both indoor-outdoor. The keisiki cuisine is very excellent and nice service mind. You should choose the half board menu because the nikko restaurants are closed early and so far each restaurant.
