Great location on the lake. Rooms are large and clean, but showing their age, especially the bathroom - old fixtures, damp smell and at times sewer-like smell. The bar similarly shows its age - ceiling paint is peeling and needs repair. That said it is still a grand building. Staff were friendly except for the Barman on duty during the evening happy hour - one of the most unfriendly, disinterested and unhelpful people we have ever struck in hospitality. The area is light on for evening dinner options - almost every restaurant closes after lunch, and the hotel restaurant prices were more than we wished to pay.
