Never believe that services planned to cater to the mass crowd in a beer hall can result poor waiting service when business is low. This is what the result when we visited the Hakodate Beer Hall. Once settled, we were handed an iPad and asked to order from it. It could be a nice experience if the waitress will explain how to use it. We had to request the clearing of finished plates which is unheard of in Japan. The various dishes were average and the beer selection was good. But our overall impression was negative at best.
