We stayed here only for a night to catch an early train to Naoshima the next day. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the main train station, very good price and the hotel is modern, clean and it has the Onsen (traditional Japanese public bath) which make our stay more relaxing.
The room is small like many hotels in Japan but it's modern, also the bathroom with a bath and modern heated toilet.
The highlight for us is the Onsen which is a surprise for us as the hotel rate is low but it has a nice Onsen. Please note that I booked the hotel on the same day, so perhaps we got a special deal we're not sure. I recommend this place for its location and facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful like everywhere in Japan hotel.

This hotel is located very close to the Okayama Station. Hotel is comfortable but room is very small therefore hard to open suits cases. However, we had a great buffet breakfast with both Japanese and Western style. There is hot spring bath on the top floor. I will certainly recommend this hotel.

We found the Mitsui Garden to be a nice balance between basic and over the top.

The hotel is a short walk from the main station and buses and trams to the rest of the city. We stayed a couple of nights and the room was a bit larger than average and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent with an excellent choice.

Enough staff but not too many.

This hotel is a four minute walk from the front of the train station. It is behind the Gran Via Hotel which is visible from the station. The rooms were neat and clean. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke English. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment. There are plenty of coffee shops nearby. This hotel has a good location and is central to many restaurants. There is a onsen yet we did not use or visit. I think a good choice.

My wife and I just stayed here for two nights. Arriving on a Friday night, we booked the hotel that same afternoon online. Although we wanted a non-smoking room with a double or a queen, the only nonsmoking rooms they had left contained "singles" according to Hotels.com. we booked one with two singles. We ended up getting room 734, and I don't know if they have us the wrong room or not, but the needs were at least semi-doubles if not full doubles.

The room was very quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. We are both light sleepers and we slept soundly.

We paid an extra 1000yen per person per day when booking for a buffet breakfast. Although it is nothing like a western breakfast, it was a large buffet with very good food, and we were glad we got it. Note: of you don't want to buy the buffet in advance, you can use their ticket machine in the restaurant and pay 1080 yen on the fly for entry to the buffet.

Shower had great water pressure, and an arced/bowed curtain to give one plenty of room.

Room was modern and pleasing to the eye, and was spotless clean. Room had a small refrigerator and a free electronic safe.

The only downsides: the room smelled a bit musty (nothing too bad though... hotel provided an air freshening spray in the closet which helped quite a bit), only room to hang 6 items, and no shelving or drawers for clothes.

If definitely stay here again.
