We had a twin room with two double beds. The daughter had a triple room. The carpet clean. The bathroom was clean and smelled fine.
It had adequate facilities for a perfectly convenient hotel to the station and the old town. Would use it again if we visited old Kurashiki again.
There were sufficient clothes hooks and hangars - one thing that is always in short supply in Ryokans is hanging space for coats and used towels. There was a good heater and a good tv.
The beds were a little tired looking and in need of repair as were the mattresses but the protectors and sheets were clean and even though beds a bit springy were dtill comfortable. We had a room on the traffic side, and it was not too bad and didn't interrupt my sleep. Breakfast looked good but we opted out as we wanted just yoghurt and banana.
The twin corner room is roomier. Single room a bit on the small side. Curtains had been refurbished, floor carpet also, but not the side strip of carpet
Price and location all a factor. It's not five star but we found it good for the night's stay and good value. More
