we went out to Musangano to experience Zimbabwes very first Crime Dinner Event and found ourselves in a beautifully decorated setting of the 1920 is Chicago: poor Spatsy was murdered (thank God we did not the see the body as we were hungry) and us , around 25 guests and actors ,had to figure out what had happened and who is the culprit among us.
Very fun evening, great and super engaged actors, beautiful setting, not-to-easy stroryline, cool drinks. the food was delicious ,Entertainment and engagement of guests quite fun. Most of us suspected innocent citizens to be the murderer, but hey, we all got out alive and cannot wait for the next case to be solved!

We loved our weekend at Musando Lodge as guests of a Murder Mystery evening. Our lodge was quaint, clean and neat and had everything we needed and lovely views. Great pool and pool side service. The staff where so lovely and willing to help and made us feel right at home and we will definitely be back to see them and will encourage anyone traveling that way- to stop in there! Lovely for walks, birds and being in touch with nature too. The breakfast was super and we felt very well attended too! Lovely hidden gem!

Costly for South Africans due to USD pricing, but once on site the facilities were splendid, the staff friendly, courteous and very helpful.
The chalets were extremely comfortable.
Only downside, was not Musango's doing but rather the traffic getting there from Harare and the criminals in police uniforms manning the numerous roadblocks.

This is a well setup lodge with lodges that can sleep up to six or cabins which can sleep two people. For the more adventurous, there is a campsite with excellent ablutions and facilities. The lodges are self catering. There are good facilities to use for braaing at each lodge. The lodge which we stayed in had the most amazing views. Well worth a visit. Also just off the main road Hre - Mutare, makes it an ideal overnight stop for Mozambique travellers!

We found Musangano while looking for a place to stop to break a long drive in two. We were really amazed how beautiful it was. The lodges were comfortable and well-equipped. Unfortunately we left early the next morning and didn't get to take advantage of the biking and hiking trails...but they seemed extensive and well-maintained.
