“Excellent street food meals every time, for about US$5”

A peaceful row of covered open-sided eateries at the east end of An Hoi island, a four-block stroll from the Old Town bridge. Each establishment offers its own take on making freshly cooked Vietnamese street food, with a delicious meal to be had at any one of them for the equivalent of about five US dollars.

Came across this food market by accident. Wondered in and found Mrs. Ha's little stall. Great place for Hoi An's traditional dishes. One of my favorites was the Pho Bo (Beef noodle soup) along with the Wontons, White rose dumplings and Vietnamese spring rolls. All so good! Ended up eating here 2 nights in a row. The prices were right too! Mrs. Ha was very friendly and sociable. Loved the food and the whole experience! Eat Local!

We came over this way because we were told to check out the food court by a family member who visited in the past. We were told to try a whole fish.

The food court is really just an organized row of street food restaurants but it wasn’t really that busy because it is tucked away across the old town river and the opposite direction of the night market.

We had a garlic fried fish from the very last vendor HI! because it was the busiest one. They served “fresh beer” aka draught beer for 4K VDN a glass. It was good but in Hoi An we liked the street meat in the market more.

Eating here is a real experience - and an enjoyable one at that. Most places offer similar food - or as one of the locals put it "same but different". That difference seems to be that each food outlet generally has one specialty. We ate at several different outlets over a two week period - but kept coming back to one in particular - "Mrs Hien". Her Cau Lao and Pho is amazingly good, as is the White Rose (a type of minced prawn served in a very soft and 'floaty' rice paper. Next to Mrs Hien is a Juice outlet that offers the most amazing quality smoothies.
Some clients to this area seem to expect five star service. Well, that only comes after you've proven yourself to be adventurous in the culinary sense and have appeared in the court more than once. If you aren't comfortable eating at a bench in a crowded situation - then don't come here. But if you want to eat traditional street food - then this is the place to be. It was a terrific experience on each and every opccasion we went there.

Ate here one night and from the outside it looks like a normal restaurant, but once inside it opens up to a food court with each section creating some special dish.
You can select from the extensive menu and all prices were cheap and the food was fantastic. Other members of our group went back several times.
It is a great place to eat and enjoy Vietnamese food. There is also western food available. Highly recommended.
