“Best Service”
Reviewed 23 July 2012

Well HoiAn is just wonderful. This hotel and the service was a highlight. We had a family room which was set with rose petals, swan towels and a fruit plate for our arrival. The kids thought it to be the most special welcome. There is no kettle, but even better a thermal jug with hot water every day, which did stay hot most of the day. The location is great and the pool a welcome relief. We also hired bikes and rode around. The beach to the left, past the rice fields was a favourite. I wish we stayed a week, was my only regret. Can't wait to return. Also, we didn't encounter any noise, maybe we were lucky..

The Hotel staff are super sincerely friendly. They learn your name immediately, ask how you are and how your stay is frequently, and respond in any way they can to improve things. Our first room, Level 1 above reception, was on a busy road across from the school. When we said we couldn't sleep because of the noise, they immediately upgraded us to a family room at the back of the hotel which was definitely quieter. They insisted we didn't pay the difference. Room walls pretty thin - next door had their TV going quite loud which made it difficult to rest. Aircon effective. Bathrooms adequate although their was a bit of mould on the shower curtain in one room. No kettle in the room but fridge was large enough and the bottled water as cheap as on the street. Breakfast was by far best value for this kind of hotel - buffet was not large, but different dishes each day. Eggs or noodles cooked for you, juice, fruit, breads, cakes, toast (yes! bread you can toast to your liking), coffee/tea. They provided packed breakfast for early morning tour, 5am, and staff insisted they be woken to provide it. Hotel has bicycles and motorbikes although we hired bicycle from the woman just outside hotel for $1USD per day. She was also friendly and helpful! We had drinks in the bar in the evening - good happy hour cocktails. Only 5-10 minute walk into Ancient Town where all the action is. An easy 15 minute ride to the beach - although you will have to park your bikes in the public bike/car park and pay to have them minded. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Higher floors towards the back of the hotel - remember there is no lift.

The Hotel staff make this a great place. The Hotel itself is in the midst of bathroom renovations - ground floor done, second in process - third and fourth not yet! The Hotel is on a busy (beep beep 24/7) road and has a school next door - tranquil, it is not! Fun, friendly, cheap and well located it is! I found the beds here to be soooo hard - I woke up with pins and needles. BUT would I recommend it - oh yeah. If you know what to expect - a no frills, clean 2* Hotel minutes from the old town, with a pool, lap tops and wifi in rooms and cheap laundry and beers - go for it. If you want comfort and luxury keep looking!

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor (new bathrooms). No lift so be strong if on third or fourth floors.

We enjoyed staying here although during our stay they were renovating. The rooms are large. The staff accommodating and the breakfast ample. Best value hotel of our trip.

Incredibly accommodating staff. Clean, comfortable rooms, with cable tv and wifi available. Refreshing little swimming pool is great after a long day at the jaw-dropping beach, which is only a 10 minute bike ride away. The shops and restaurants downtown are only a five minute ride the other way. Breakfast buffet included every morning with eggs made to order.
From the moment you check in the staff constantly greets you with charismatic smiles and a casual yet professional demeanor and sem to instantly know and remember your name for the remainder of your stay.
While leaving I actually forgot my rayban sunglasses and a baseball cap I've had for years in my room. When I called the hotel to inquire about my things, the delightful front-desk girl volunteered to overnight mail them to my hotel in Hanoi at THEIR expense. I can't imagine a finer lodging experience for such a reasonable price. Highly reccomended!
