Our visit to Tra Que was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam. We were welcomed graciously, we walked the farm and learned about the crops, we attempted some gentle farming, and dancing. We enjoyed a foot and neck massage administered a lovely lady, and then we helped to cook our meal guided by a charming chef using ingredients from the plots around us. The meal was exceptionally delicious. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. We had a lovely time.

Part of a Gate 1 tour, we walked through several acres of green gardening. Not sure why it was termed organic…..folks in this area don’t have enough spare cash to buy pesticides and fertilizer so they’re going to use what’s locally available…which is algae, etc. from the local water features. Nonetheless, using what we would term “sustainable” techniques, they produce plenty of items used in local restaurants. The end of the tour was a short cooking demo and lunch prepared from the local ingredients. The meal was ok (not what I would typically order, but still reasonable). May not be available privately, but worth a visit. Recommended.

When we went to the beach we came by this beautiful and enjoyable place which was really nice. The food is really fresh and delicious and the people are sooo lovely. Really recommend the lemonade, lemon basil seed drink and the special pancakes. (Not the pancake you would expect)
We also booked a cooking class here, because this place is so nice and you go to the fields, learn something about the herbs and do some farming work, which was really cool. Afterwards you cook three dishes and enjoy them later with the nice view over the fields.

Totally recommend this place! I would come back every time!

The Tra Que Garden was beautiful and the meal was amazing! I am a vegetarian and traveling in Vietnam was not easy. This was by far the best food we ate.

An easy bicycle ride through beautiful narrow roads of charming lil village Tra Que is an oasis of calmness. We were the part of farming procedures of local friendly farmers including watering , picking vegetables and many other fun activities which are rarely seen in modern daily life. Green paddy fields, lush grasslands and tranquil lakes gave us the chance for imaginative and creative photography. Riding water buffalo was thrilling experience. Wonderful vegetarian lunch was served by Vietnamese hosts.Great hospitality! Incredible experience! A great thanks to our wonderful and enthusiastic guide Tri Nguyen. He has good communication skills and excellent sense of humour. His connectivity with people is great and he wonderfully participated in each activity. Yes, it was a memorable trip and one that we would suggest to other people.
