Just got back from the afternoon eco tour and cooking class, we had an amazing afternoon, that lasted until evening because we enjoyed ourselves so much!
We got picked up from our hotel at 2pm by Long the tour guide, then we went to the local market for vegetables and shrimp, really interesting part of the tour.
We drove to the restaurant, where you do the cooking class and had a cup of Vietnamese tea before the basket boat tour, which was relaxing and lovely to see local fishing life. Long made us grasshopper souvenirs from the leaves! We also did some fishing and crabbing ourselves- didn’t catch any fish though!
We did the cooking class at the restaurant afterwards, there was four people in our group, so everyone had their own space to cook. The food we made was amazing, we ate it at the table afterwards, plus more made by Long and his family - don’t have lunch before the tour, there is so much food!
Really good day in a small, intimate group. Long is a really good guide, so funny and one of the nicest people we’ve met in Vietnam!
Thank you so much to Long and his family.
