“Close to nothing but close to everything”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

We had a great stay- the staff are great- better than most Dubai 5 star hotels. We really enjoyed the seafood buffet Thursday night- and the wine for AED 70 bottle (easy to pay that for a glass in Dubai!)
Rooms are functional but plain. Pool area is delightful.
Close to IceLand water park, al Hamra mall and marina.
In an industrial area (but a grocery store across the street).
We will certainly be going back!

Room Tip: Not much difference between the rooms at all.

This 4-star hotel has everything, a good gym, nice restaurant and a very nice pool. Nice staff around the hotel, but the reception staff needs more training.

I began working for RAK Airways in February 2012 and I had no place to go. So I decided to stay in ACACIA. And I am still staying there. I recommend ACACIA for new expatriates who have just taken up a job in Ras Al Khaimah to stay at ACACIA. It makes life easy for business.

It is ideal to stay in the single bedroom apartments which are fully furnished with daily housekeeping taking the stress out of your life.

My line of duty namely Corporate Communications demands me to be a workaholic and where best to stay than ACACIA.

Room Tip: Being a privileged business guest, I enjoy internet facility. Just ask for it.

Stayed at this hotel as was attending a conference.

Took me 90 mins to check in from 8.30pm. First 2 rooms not correct (one had a guest already in it - imagine his surprise when I opened the door). The room I stayed in (eventually) had no internet until I complained and the IT team ahd to 'fix' the cables so I had access

Room was not clean but as so late and I had endureed a 15 hour journey I wanted to sleep. Breakfast is OK, room still not cleaned at 7pm when i returned - it was done after I spoke to the lady in charge who was very polite and got things done once she knew her staff had not cleaned the room all day

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful but this hotel cannot coope with lots of guests. Management should be ashamed at having only 1 receptionist on the front desk at night when there was a full fledged conference going on in the hotel as well as another nearby. The lady had a huge queue and telephones to deal with - completely hopeless situation and the guests all get annoyed

Lots of tourists there and am sure this was a warm escape from the winter chills of Europe but as a business hotel dont chose the Acacia. In fact try to avod RAK as colleagues at the Al Hamra also had isses with internet (none in 3 days)

Staff smiling and good, trying hard despite management not seeming to know how to roster properly

Food adequate nothing to write home about

Rooms adequate, mine needed some TLC and paint as well as functioning AC unit at times (was too warm and too th 2 days I was there to "chill" from 28C to 25C!!!! So the room was basically hot and sticky a lot especially at night if you turn off the AC unit as I do)

Wont stay here again unless am on a leisurely budegt vacation and dont care about quality etc
