This big sand castle in Al Ain is beautiful but it does not contain alot of interesting information. It is a nice little outing but seeing the fort from the outside is almost as good as entering the area. Free entrance.

This fort is probably the oldest building in the UAE. Finished in 1898 it provides an opportunity to see and reflect on what life was like in the early years of its existence. The fort is free to access and whilst there is not a lot to see and do there are two exhibitions which are worth experiencing.

The fort is very well kept and contains a permanent exhibition of photographs which provide an insight into Abu Dhabi's past history. Entrance is free.

The original spiral tower is an iconic building in the UAE. The fort is nice and open. Come when it's not too hot. There was some kind of Boy Scout event going on, so pay attention if you want to be there for something specific.
