No need to say a lot about this restaurant. It is very well known by locals as well. It has a good reputation for its food. Very well located with direct access to beach. The only concern is prices.. I have to admit that far more expensive than other similar restaurants in the same region.

The sunbathing area is comfortable. The toilets and changing rooms are very clean. The fish, and the octopus was really delicious, but the appetizers were below average. The prices are a bit high when compared to the quality of food.

I have visited this place many times over the years. They have always keept the quality of food. The variety of the side dishes (meze) they offer is quite large. They always have fresh fish. They grow their own tomatoes and greens in their backyard. Also their facilities for swimming and showering are quite nice. Just be careful with the parking, as their own parking lot is often very busy. However, if you prefer to reach here from the sea, they have a pier that you can reserve in advance.

Muhammed, now in his 50s, learned cooking in İstanbul in his youth. He worked in small local restaurants in Bozburun and Sogut area before opening his family busines at Saranda, once upon an ancient time was a Lycian village on a beatiful gravel beach looking west towards Symi. He had his wife, daughter, son, nephew help him in creating a tradion of excellence in sea food and meze taste in a modest village premise. However it turned into a major professional kitchen over the last decade. He is a fisherman too. His catches and purchases of fish, octopus, calamari constitute the backbone of his comparative advantage. I have friends from Ankara, professors of medicine, who have become addicted to the Deniz Kızı. Their meze's, appatizer and/or raki table delicacies are fresh and first class. For many years they are alzo growing their vegetables. Whenever I go to eat and drink a glass or two of ice cooled rakı neat, I alwas see Muhammed, his wife, son, nephew and a core cadre of still excellent waiters, all young local men, on the spot, guarding a tradition. They now have a small pier where one or two sailing boats dock for the night and where many customers swimm in the crystal clean sea. My favourite dishes are grilled octopus and grilled calamari. I finish with their cream caramel. I suggest that you drink rakı, so called green brands made from fresh, not dried, grapes neat. Up until the 19th century when industrial mass production of rakı began in the Ottoman Istanbul, rakı was not "anise"ed. People did not dilute raki. It was drank neat, like all great brandies. When puality of rakı deteriorated as a result of mass production, anise was added to mask the taste and raki began to be drunk diluted with water.

We were recommended this restaurant as part of a short driving tour whilst staying in Turunc. Well worth the drive through the narrow winding roads. You can park @ restaurant overlooking the bay and spend the day on their sunbeds whilst also enjoying their bar & restaurant facilities. Excellent food and as my hubby has a challenge eating some foods following surgery, the staff kindly helped choose and present dish in a way that assisted him greatly. Warning - get there early for sunbeds particularly as the locals love it for their holidays!
