“Great hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2012

Every thing about this hotel is excellent, staff, restaurants, food, drink, cleanliness and quality. It is such a big hotel but we never had to queue for food or drinks which is surprising in peak season. Hotel is lovely, we were on 2nd floor side sea view, this was quite noisy until about 11.30 but never stopped us from sleeping and was not a issue for our 4 year old either. View was not great, overlooked waste land but I'm sure better than the front which overlooked a busy main road. We stayed for 2 weeks and did not leave hotel as there was no need but the outside areas don't look great just lots of hyper markets and tower blocks. Would go to hotel again but not convinced about this part of turkey have been to far nicer scenic places.

Room Tip: Side sea view overlooks adult pool is nice though a little noisy at night with music from beach

We have just returned Saturday, the hotel is stunning, staff are very nice and friendly, not one unfriendly face. We were there for two weeks with family. The hotel has everything you need,we only left hotel twice as there was no need to leave. Food was brilliant and there was so many choices. Kids club was great for all children. The entertainment was great. Animation team worked so hard the whole time we were there. Hotel staff always came round to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. Already looking to book for next year.
Sunbathing areas were everywhere with sun beds for everyone. There was also giant four poster bed type sun loungers which were fantastic. You could relax out of the sun without going to your room.
The room we had was a good size and the minibar was replenished everyday. If you did run out before that you could just go you could go to any bar and top it up yourself. Only fault I could say was that the bath was too high, you have tp be careful climbing into it.

Landed on time and got to Hotel by 12.30am. Check-in then took two hours it was a nightmare, one guy that didn't have a clue, everyone was tired and getting highly frustrated.

We were finally taken to our Sea view room for 4 (parents + 2 kids) at 03.35am to find the fourth bed was not made-up and the room was miniature. Decided to get the bed sorted and deal with (it) in the morning.

To cut a very long story short, we've stayed in Lara beach for the last two years at the Limak Lara ( see previous reviews) and after a day at the Palace we were seriously dissappointed, the place just looks tired and dated, small rooms, no hanging space and the food halls were of limited selection, not what we were expecting for a £5k holiday. Staff incrediblly rude too, I flipped at one on reception after he laughed and said "English" when we were trying to get help and information. They cater for the Russians and Germans very well.

We spoke to our First Choice rep and they agreed an upgrade to the Delphin Imperial. After a 20min visit to the sister hotel it was clear the Imperial is what we expected. Let me just point out very clearly that whilst Kara from first choice was understanding and very helpful, First Choice added zero value, it was me dealing with hotel management and the fact the Palace wants to fill the Imperial as its only been open since April. Book direct next time! Full credit to Kara for her ability to deal with this, a credit to First Choice.

We could move over the next morning and by 11am the following day we were in a great full sea view room, see my separate review on the Imperial.

To conclude; the Palace it is not, it's seriously over-rated, full of dark wood and we understand that it will be closed for a full refurb this winter.

My honest advice is that if you've booked and only paid a deposit, cancel and look at the Imperial or save some money and go the Limak Lara 5 hotels down the road.

The Delphin (Dolphin) Palace has seen its best years past, we had something better to compare it to and therefore feel justified to write this review. We would not return.

The only member of the Palace Staff that deserves credit and a mention was Soykan Soyaslan, he made sure our move was smooth, all our luggage dealt with and right down to telling us our new room number. Palace Management, move him to the Imperial and let him shine, he's how all front of house should be and perfect English.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

We just came back from Delphin Palace and had a wonderful time.An amazing resort to stay in , you never run out to activities for children and adult. The staff are brilliant, hey just cant do enough for you. There are 7 A’la Cart restaurant and they just top quality food and service, specially.japan was the best Thank you very much to cook Yasemin. There are two large main restaurants which are of a buffet style, the food here was also of a very high standard and a good variety, so there will always be something that will temp your taste buds. The main pool area is huge and this is where the majority of people / families go, this pool is where the entertainment team arrange daily activities, however, don’t let this put you off, as the pool/s in this areas are so big you can easily find a little hidden corner. The bar guys are brilliant. The animation team were very good with professional entertainers for the evening shows even the children animation team were fab special thanks to MUSTAFA who is my children's favorite. and special thanks to VIctoria from Guest Relations . Thank you to every body we had a lovely time and be back next year

We stayed at the Delphin Palace last year and as a rule we have never returned to the same hotel (anywhere in the world), However, this year we broke our rule and we have just returned after having a fantastic 2 weeks at the Delphin Palace.
We would like to share this with our fellow holiday makers:-

STAFF
The staff in the hotel are brilliant; from the receptionists, the guys behind the bar to the waiters/waitresses: they all just can’t do enough to help make your holiday a good one. and I can’t miss out the Guest Relations team who are brilliant and in particular Ali Yayla who was such a lovely person and (now) friend.

RESTUARANTS / FOOD
There are 7 A’la Cart restaurant: and there is no restrictions on the number of times that you can visit (unlike other All Inclusive that we have been to in the past) –with the exception of the French and Seafood we visited each of the others (Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, and Turkish), the food was fantastic and service was excellent.
There are two large main restaurants which are of a buffet style, the food here was also of a very high standard and a good variety, so there will always be something that will temp your taste buds. For children there was also a range of food for them (e.g. burgers, sausage and mash etc ).

POOL’s
There is a children pool which is away from the main pool area, this pool is well shaded and has small water slides etc which will more than keep your young ones happy.
There is a small water park, that never seemed to be that busy.
The main pool area is huge and this is where the majority of people / families go, this pool is where the entertainment team arrange daily activities, however, don’t let this put you off, as the pool/s in this areas are so big you can easily find a little hidden corner. Even though we were there at the hight of the holiday season (and the hotel was fully booked), there were plenty of sun beds for all, so you don’t have to wander down first thing in the morning to compete with the tower brigade.
The is also a ‘Relax Pool’, this pool is strictly for adults and 14+ only, and the hotel guest relations team patrol the whole complex and any families with under 14’s (toddlers etc) are politely asked to leave. This pool is perfect if you just want to chill out and is where we spent most day. The bar guys are brilliant and looked after us during our stay.

BEACH
The beach is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel

EVENINGS
You have a number of choices once you have finish your evening meal.
There is an outdoor Amphitheatre where the entertainment guys put on a show (they do have professional act every other night).
There are a number of bars just off the main lobby, one which is open 24 hours for those who like a late night tipple.
There is a Moonlight bar which is at the end of the pier and is a nice way to chill out.
There is also a outdoor bar, which has live music each evening after 10pm.

THE BEDROOMS
The bedrooms are pretty much inline of what you would expect from a 5 star hotel, however, even though the hotel is has only been open for 8 years they do appear to need some TLC, but don’t let this put you off, they are quite spacious and clean.

SUMMARY
This is an all round of a hotel, which will cater for all ages and tastes.

Room Tip: Any sea view room
