“Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff would recommend.”
Reviewed 16 June 2012

Me and my friend stayed at the hotel from 7-6-12 to 13-6-12. The hotel has recently undergone a refurb and it's absolutely lovely. We received a letter from the travel agents a few days before we were meant to arrive explaining that there will be some building work done and that the restaurant will be moved to another location whilst it is undergoing a refurb. This was not the case when we got there, we didn't hear or see any building work being conducted and the refurb in the restaurant had been completed which was a pleasant surprise.

The hotel was in the a very good location right on the beach and the pool was FAB. The marina is about a 20 minute away, there are alot of shops there and the scenery there is stunning.

The Rep named Tina at the hotel was really lovely and helpful, she also lives in Tunisia so knows her stuff.

The food was enjoyable at the hotel, there was a good variety of food. I recommend you try the ice cream it's gorgeous Mmm Mmm Mmm...

The staff were very friendly and were always happy to help, the only negatives was one of the animation team raised his voice at me when I refused to watch their show and on our first day we had a problem with the shower, I rang reception twice and on both occasions they stated that someone will be there in a few minutes, after around 30 minutes nobody arrived, luckily we managed to sort the shower ourselves.

Overall I would recommend this hotel, and if I ever came back to Tunisia I would stay here again. I hope this review has helped. (",)

Absolutely fantasic hotel!

We stayed here for 1 week starting on the 5/6/12 and we loved it. The quality of the hotel and all the staff was second to none. You could never have a empty glass in front of you without the bar staff and waiters ready to pour you another.

The animation team were exceptional. Always upbeat and kean for you to join in. But the evening entertainment was limited but we couldnt ask for more considering they work from 9am-2am.

The beach was beautiful but a little bit tight with people (mainly French and Russian)

Being in a hotel were 60% was populated with Germans and French we had to get up at 6:30 to reserve our sun beds (well i say we, i mean my other half did). Very lively by the pool, music being played and next to the bar made for a very pleasent day.

The rooms were outstanding! Huge flat screen TV, King size double bed, huge bathroom and great style and overall finish to the room.

The food was what we expected. Overall very good, but again if you dont like to try new things and eat your basic English burger and chips every night then dont come, infact stay at home!

The only downside to our hoilday here was due to the French, Italians, Germans and Russians. Very rude and ignorrant. Even the staff at the hotel explained over and over how they would do much much more for the English because of our good manners.

So overall a amazing hotel finished to a wonderful standard. I have stayed in many All inclusive hotels before but this did stand out to be one of the best in recent years. Very very modern, great beach, beautiful gardens and again exception staff! Would recommed to anyone!

Stayed here a few years back. This place is fairly basic and has a cool things too. The bowling alley is a nice feature. We basically used this hotel as a base for some site seeing.

Lots and lots of good things to say, excellent customer service, great pool, access to the beach, rooms, animation team. I loved the fact the restaurant was closed for the first 10 days of my stay because I got the eat all my meals outside! However the building work was noisy, and a couple of days we had building work to the restaurant and a bulldozer in the garden! Also, once the restaurant was open, and the snack bar closed at breakfast time, it was difficult to get bottled water before 9am. Without all the noise the holiday would have been nearly perfect, I just wish the entertainment areas indoors were smoke free.

Room Tip: Late night noise from neighbouring hotel is quite loud and goes on til about midnight, so you need a...

We have just returned from the Diar El Andalous. Prior to us departing we received a letter explaining that there would be some work going on at the hotel whilst we were there, and the restaurant would not be open, I have to admit I was slightly concerned about this. After speaking to Thomas Cook we decided to stay at the hotel, even though we were offered alternative accommodation.

After a very good flight and transfer, arriving at the hotel we were made to feel very welcome and the reception staff were very efficient. After filling the relevant forms in the head on reception gave us an upgrade of room without us even asking. We had a newly refurbished junior suite, which I have to say was lovely, brand new and massive, There was myself, husband and 15 year old son, who had a room off our room which was great. The bathroom was very nice and we had a large balcony overlooking the nearby golf course and sea.

We found out that the restaurant had actually opened prior to us arriving which was a relief as I did not feel that the pool bar restaurant could adequately cope with the volume of people.
The food was varied always something to eat, salads were fresh and delicious, lots of sea food and the sweets were delicous.
Breakfast was great a selection of cooked food, fruit or danish pastries crossaints etc, all made within the restaurant fresh every morning.
Lunch was served either at the pool bar or the main restaurant which was a nice option, there was also snacks at 4 oclock at the poolside bar or 1920 cafe which was great.

There was still work being undertaken during our stay but it did not disrupt our enjoyment in any way as it was all very cosmetic so no noise just alot of workmen painting and finishing off. A bit of a shame really I would have liked to have seen the finsihed article as all the work which had been completed was of very high standard. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The hotel sits right on the beach which is so nice, the beach bar looks out to sea and is gorgeous to take a break from sun under the shade.

A couple of points that should be mentioned :-
We found the evening entertainment very poor, the staff were very good during the day keeping people entertained around the pool area. But during the evening my husband and I felt that there needed to be some money invested in the entertainment as the whole theme was based on total guest participation, to me entertainment is somebody entertaining you not vice versa.
Also if you like your beer do not stay here, my husband was very disappointed with the beer as in his opinion it was the worst and weakest beer he has ever had abroad.
However you can upgrade to bottled stronger beer but you are charged an additonal 3.7 dinars per bottle.
I have to add the wine was lovely and very plentiful.
One more thing the staff are great but tips are a given, we did tip for the service given, to be fair the staff are worth and did remember us and knew exactly what our drinks orders were next time round.

Room Tip: If you are travelling with children see if you can upgrade to junior suite well worth it.
