First visit to tunisia, and pleasently suprised. Still get pressured a little by street sellers exc, but not to bad, and take no for answer when you are firm. You will have to barter for a good price at some shops, start from at least half what they ask and only pay what it is worth to you. I found locals to be pleasent. beach clean where hotel was but littered in other areas. A lot of seller on beach with fruit, cigs, jewlery and small turtles. They try and put items in your hand, but I just refused. Gifts very cheep in resort airport gifts pricey. Also you can spend any left over coinage in airport at foodout lets once through customs but cannot take it out of the country.

Very spacious modern resort, it was half empty when we were there, don't go to medinas until there are plenty of other people there, we went early and there was only me and hubby there, we were hounded to go into shops,so much so we came straight out, not looking in any shops,it would be better in summer when there are more people there, apart from this we had great holiday.

Looked great and was a really good trip. Fix price shops were the best as you weren't hassled to buy.
If you stop and look you are kinda dragged in and expected to buy. if you like that then you can haggle and barter prices from high to very low. we started at 95 dinar and haggled down to 20 dinar
