The host - Christine - is wonderfully hospitable. You get to enjoy homely meals inside her house with a great selection of Belgian and international beers. The WiFi is excellent and bathroom is enormous and well laid out with a separate shower so the rest of the bathroom doesn't get wet and slippery. Lots of huge ants though, but ants are normal in Isaan.
There are actually three accommodation units - one little wooden house with a large balcony) and two cement dwellings (without a balcony). The pictures of this place (on Agoda and here on Trip Advisor) show the wooden house (with its balcony) giving the impression that the accommodation you get is like that. We were disappointed to find that is not true, so I can't give it 5 stars. We only booked this Home Stay for the little wooden house and large balcony, which we did not get. My picture shows the cement dwelling we stayed in.
This Home Stay is also in a very isolated place a long way from the town, so your own transport is essential if you stay here. Fortunately, that wasn't a problem for us as we had our own transport.More
