My husband and I loved the Vijitt Resort, staying 3 nights in a rural style yet luxurious villa. We woke to the sounds of birds chirping and in the evenings you heard the crickets' chorus.Bring aeroguard spray though for evening walks because of mozzies. Not a big deal considering the villas are amidst flora and fauna. We walked through beautifully landscaped gardens with tropical fruit trees, some with labels and brief description, which was like a walk through a botanical garden. The villa was stunning but our mattress hard so we requested it changed which the staff did right away. The spa treatments were very very good and the staff very attentive to your needs. Even if the resort is a bit secluded with little shopping and nightlife in the vicinity, there are free daily shuttles to Patong, Central Festival Shopping Centre and a free boat ride to Coral Island and back. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The infinity pool is huge and the views of the Andaman coast and islands are amazing. The daily breakfast buffet is very good with a large spread. This has to be one of the best stays we've had and recommend it to everyone who wants to spoil themselves a little.

Another stunning resort, prime pool villa had loads of space and of course our own plunge pool!!
I had a bad leg on the trip so walking up the hill was rather a struggle.

The staff are so sweet and friendly but the was rather strong language barriers sometimes and it meant we couldn't quite communicate what we wanted.

Beach was stunning. We spent 5 nights here and the rest of our trip staying with a friend but would have been happy to spend the whole holiday here, we upgraded to the prime pool villa as we felt the difference in price between the base level room and this one was not much of a jump and you get so much more.

Room Tip: Prime pool villa

Great villas . Main pool lovely dark tiles so naturally looking. Sun loungers most uncomfortable I have ever sat on something the resort must change to be truly 5* . We stayed in villa 50 one of 3 two bed villas wil own infinity pool. Beautiful vista from this villa and some shade in the pool in the afternoon alway good with kids. Food in the savoury restaurant very good and varied but only one menu that doesn't change much. That said it was varied and plenty of choice for kids and adults. We went to baan vijitt one might but wouldn't rave about it. One thing you need to know about Phuket Take plenty of insect repellent it does work but you need to cover yourself in it. Wifi is available in restaurants but rooms only hard wired. Not many English people in this resort mainly Japanese and few Australians so staff have trouble understanding English which is fine until you really need something. This is a hilly resort so if you have trouble walking hills it's not the place for you but you can request golf cart although often a wait for one. If I had to sum up this place I would say great accommodation but lacking on service aspects you would expect ie slow to get drinks. Room cleaning happening at 4 pm and once 6:30 so letting in all the midges. I've been to better resorts and for the money we paid I expected more. Maybe we were spoilt from our time in Dubai and Maldives. Overall don't write this place off but I'm sure there are cheaper options.

My husband a I booked the honeymoon package through the Vijitt website and needless to say for the value and everything it promised on the website it seemed like a great deal. On top of our beachfront villa which looked like paradise in the pictures, we were expecting round trip shuttle from airport, couples massage, bottle of wine, free dinner, and champagne. When we arrived we got all that and more!

First, at the airport in Phuket we were expecting a shuttle. Having been to Chiang Mai and Bangkok earlier we were expecting nothing more than being crammed into a truck taxi or bus shuttle with others. However, we were greeted warmly by a professional looking driver holding our sign with a rather nice private car by Thailand standards and a comfortable 50 min trip to the Vijitt.

Once there we were treated like VIP's the whole time. Our first impression of the resort was that it is absolutly gorgeous! Extremely well maintained and plush with plant life! We may have caught a good time of the year, but the resort had the perfect amount of people there. It was never crowded. Whether at dinner, by the pool or beach we could see maybe a few other couples, but that was it.

Our room was even more beautiful than the pictures can show. The villas are air conditioned which is a must during the summer months. We stayed in Villa 5, which has an amazing view of the ocean (Chalong Bay) and the infinity pool! The floor to ceiling curtains provide plenty of privacy. The bathtub and the amazing outdoor shower were great and you could even open up windows to provide a view of the ocean as well. The beds are pretty firm and ours was not soft enough for us so we called to the desk and they brought down a cushion and added it to our bed to make it softer. It was very comfortable after that.

Everything that was promised in the package was delivered, right down to the couples massages. Actually the massage was more of a 2 hour spa experience which included the best massage we received in Thailand (we got many).

On top of the amenities, the staff was extremely helpful and always nice. They immediately sent maintenance down to the pool when my husband accidently lost his ring under the wood slate by the pool.

The only critiques, if I had to put something constructive here is this: The food was a bit pricey considering Thai food can be purchased off the resort for at least 30% of the cost. There are not any close by resaurants around the resort so we had to take a cab to Rawai to get food elsewhere. The lighting in the room was not very conducive for doing your make-up; I would recommend bringing your own hand-mirror. There are bugs in Thailand, and of course you will have to encounter things like ants, roaches, mosquitoes, lizards, and spiders in any villa or bungalow and here is no different; it wasn't much of a problem for us. Low tide will occasionally affect the bay. We were fortunate here and only saw low tide once in 4 days, and it was actually very interesting to witness! Additionally, the shuttle to Patong Beach is about an hour with all the traffic; but travelers coming to the Vijitt should be expecting a much more relaxed and more secluded experience verses Patong anyway.

All in all, the best part of our amazing vacation was the Vijitt. We recommend this resort to anyone wanting a relaxing time and we will definitely return if we make it back to Phuket in the future!
