We will be back

Hi Amari,

I am writing to commend you for a wonderful experience we had at your hotel. We booked two nights over this weekend (May 27-29) in room 7108. Everything was laid out perfectly for us.

Check in was seamless. We arrived at the hotel earlier than check in time but that was not a problem because your voyagers' lounge was comfortable. You upgraded us to a room with an adorable ocean view, which made us feel like we can stay there during the whole trip and still be content. We availed your dinner buffet and it was divine. The grilled shrimp and squid were cooked just right and the Thai food made us forget that we are wearing bikinis in the morning. You also fetched us from our room without us even requesting for it because it was too early for us to walk towards the lobby to meet our coach for our island hop tour. Your staff were all so warm and accommodating, we always felt like royalty.

Our trip was perfect because of you. Thank you. Your hotel is by far the one of the best hotels I have booked.

PS: I forgot my swimwear in the balcony. By any chance, could you please keep it, because we will definitely be back soon.

Great Experience

Excellent location and views, the service was on point. Smooth check out process, clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Richard (hotel manager) is running an excellent operation there. Highly recommended!

Paradise in Phuket

This is by far the best resort to stay in at Patong Beach or for that matter in Phuket. This was our second stay at the resort. To our great surprise we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite in the new Ocean Wing. Room 6222, we just had the most fantastic view and we were only 30 second walk to the Clubhouse facility which was just fantastic. They have a happy hour from 5 to 6pm and I must say this is the best time of the day to relax and enjoy the views of the bay and Patong Beach. We used the infinity pool at the Club House every day and this was most refreshing. The staff were unbelievable and they could not do enough to make our stay there simply the best time.
The resort is only a 15 minute walk to the famed Bangalore Road night life or if you are feeling lazy a very cheap 200Bahtt ride in a Tuk Tuk.
We were personally met on arrival by the GM Pierre-Andre, Pierre goes beyond the call of duty and ensures that everyone has a memorable stay. Nothing is a bother to this gentleman. The food at all of the restaurants is fantastic with Rim Talay also having different food theme nights which is just great.
The walk to the Jetty is just so great.....there is simply nothing that can be criticised about the Amari.
So travellers do yourself a favor and book your next stay at the Amari, you will not be disappointed.....it's simply the best.

Room tip: If staying choosing the newer Ocean Wing rooms 6222 - 6224 is the best. All rooms though have great views.

Best resort ever!!!

A must experience for phuket traveling
!!! Stay for 4 nights..good quality service... Easy access to night streets.. Excellent tour services... Overall very well satisfied with the stay at phuket amari.

Very relaxing getaway

My wife and I returned home yesterday from 7 nights at Amari and I felt I had to write a review immediately as I'm still so very excited about our recent stay. We purchased a package from Scoopon that included breakfast, massages, food/beverage discounts and a free dinner and its was amazing value.

I had advised the hotel prior to arrival that it was an anniversary of sorts for my wife and I as we first met in Phuket 6 years ago and they arranged a lovely cake and bottle of sparkling wine for our arrival. I had also requested an airport shuttle which the driver was waiting when we arrived.

The resort itself is amazing and the photos really don't do it justice. The hotel grounds are immaculate and facilities were well maintained. The view from our room was also amazing, looking out to sea over the La Gritta pool. We didn't use the larger pool Rim Talay as the La Gritta pool was much closer to our room and far less crowded.

The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of our stay as the varied selections were fantastic. If one couldn't find sufficient foods to their liking here for breakfast then they really are the hardest people to please. We dined at Rim Talay on 2 evenings and found the food quite nice as well. We had a very lovely dinner at the Italian restaurant La Gritta on one evening and it was a very romantic setting overlooking the lapping water below.

Other reviews have commented on the beach being unsightly and unsuitable for swimming. I'd have to agree it's probably not suitable for swimming however far from unsightly. Like all coastal destinations the tide does go out which does exposes the reef and rock. With 2 large pools onsite and Patong beach a 5min walk away its definitely not a big deal. There are 3 very beautiful beaches within a few mins tuk tuk from hotel as well (Tri Trang, Freedom and Paradise beaches). In reference to reviews made about the number of stairs in the resort, the hotel is built on the side of a steep area of land so yes there are a number of stairs throughout the hotel. Anyone with injuries or fitness troubles may experience some minor discomfort though we did fine a lift that helped. If your room is located higher up the hillside then I believe the hotel offers a pick up service to and from your room so there's really no issue.

I would have to say that although the resort is truly amazing in every way it's the staff who really made our stay. Every single staff member we had interactions with was very happy and helpful. The daily maid who cleaned our room was very lovely and always happy to assist us with any needs. The front desk staff also very happy and polite. Pierre-Andre Pelletier the General Manager never ever seemed to have a day off as we'd see him at breakfast doing his rounds interacting with each guest then we'd see him again at either lunch or dinner doing the same. I personally come from 16 years working in hotels, restaurants and wineries and can safely say Pierre is by far the most hands on manager I've experienced to date. He leads by example and the standard of service from his staff are a reflection of this.

We truly can't wait to return and plan to bring our extended family and friends next time.

Room tip: We stayed in 5304 and room and view were very nice.
