“Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2012

This lovely hotel is at the end of Patong Beach about a 20 minute slow walk from Bangla Road. After reading the many reviews on Trip Advisor I was a bit worried about the location however found it not to be a problem at all. The hotel is very calm and tranquil after they hustle and bustle down the road. Beautiful swimming pool and fantastic views over the bay. The beach area is probably not a great place to swim, it's called coral beach for a reason, but is nice for a short walk or to just sit and watch the waves go by.
Our room was on the bottom level closest to the water. At high tide it was a bit like being on a cruise ship as the waves lapped under the verandah. It was beautiful falling asleep at night listening to the waves being so close. The room was nicely appointed and well maintained and house keeping were very efficient often servicing the room whilst we were still at breakfast.
The hotel had a well equiped but small gym which we didn't use, but it had enough quality equipment if you wanted to do a decent work out away from the heat.
We didn't use any of the restaurants in the hotel as there were far too many options in town but the menus sounded nice (if a little more expensive than you could get else where). We did have breakfast every day and there were many international options to choose from. As Australians we did appreciate the vegemite to have with our toast every morning.
Unfortunately for us we were in Phuket in the monsoon season, and we had very heavy rain all day, every day, for seven days. This made our options for doing things somewhat limited. If you have to be trapped by poor weather, the Amari Coral Coast is a rather nice hotel to be trapped in.

We stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon, and I have to say it was a bit expensive compared to some other good choices we had! but it worse every penny.

The hotel location is superb! Just few walks from the crazy patong beach but in the same time located over the hill looking at patong bay, far from all the maddens below.

The hotel itself is amazing! Built over the hill getting advantage of the nature trees and rocks. Our room was built over a rock in the sea! (What the hell more can we ask for) at night the sea waves come and crash to the rocks under our balcony.

The room was lovely with a fantastic view. The staff was kind and helpful. The food was simple but highlighted with the greatest tropical fruits ever. The restaurant location is amazing among the trees and over looking the sea (simply mind blowing)

The only down thing regarding this hotel was that we had to walk up the hill to the hotel lobby when we get back late at night from patong with no tuktuk available. (that didn't stop us though)

Anyway, we will defiantly stay there again if we hit patong beach one more time! Only we will try to explore the hotel more and church every moment to enjoy the hotel to the max.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must!!

Amari gave taste to my Honeymoon...It is a one of a kind place...
The rooms are clean, beautiful view a bit small but perfect for a short stay.
The pools are nice overlooking the ocean.
The treatment and service is Excellent and friendly
The hotel has a tropical nature with big trees and plants all over
Breakfast is delicious with a huge variety and a beautiful view in the morning.
The hotel is up a small hill so it was more private
You should defiantly stay at Amari if you are honeymooners
Cheers
Sarah

Room Tip: Rooms on the ocean are quieter and with a beautiful view

The highlight of the Amari is the view over Patong Bay,it is just amazing to sit on your balcony or at a bar looking out over the water.
This was our 3rd stay and it did not let us down.We did not notice the renovations, with breakfast being moved to an even better location.
Breakfast could be improved with freshly brewed coffee and a little more variety, especially the juices.
Rooms are not large, but more than adequate.Bathrooms are clean and well serviced.
The walk into Patong is not a problem, but can be a bit trying on the way back.
Overall an excellent place to stay, great value for money and we will return.

Room Tip: Try to get a room close to the water.Rooms from 1201 to 1210
