My Thai girlfriend and our friends stayed here on 10/7/17 and 11/7/17. The hotel was clean and the rooms are a decent size with a nice size bathroom. The price was 550 baht a night. I liked the restaurant for the evening meal. We had a very nice meal which came to 1000baht for four people including beer. There is also a place to do washing about 100m from hotel. The only drawback is they no longer provide breakfast at the restaurant but there are plenty of places nearby. I found this place good quality for excellent price. 4 Stars.

This is a place where they mainly cater for Thais, but also westerners.
Had a fine evening at this place some time ago, so we had no doubt we were in for a very nice evening. This expectations would turn out to be wrong.
We were greeted as they always do when guests arrive, and we figured out where to sit. The furniture is in very bad shape, which is the result of being stored outside as well as a clearly total disregard for maintenance. The tables started to split with splinters, and the varnish had been peeling and scratched off a long time ago. The wooden chairs were in same poor shape and just about to collapse.
The menu is quite extensive, which is a nice surprise. Or at least it seems like it. Several of the items are actually not available at all, but they are kept on the menu anyhow.
We managed, after some discussions and navigation through the menu (what is available or not), to order food and beverages for 5 persons.
Knowing Thailand, I expected the food not to be served in any particular order. This is something one just must expect. I was spot on, as the food came out in an order which was so random, one would think the chef rolled a dice to decide which one to make first. Resulting in starters coming after the main courses, and one of the main course orders arriving after almost 1 and a half hour! The Fish was fairly good, the Pork knuckle was good, the Pork chop was soso, the T-bone steak was bad. The meat dishes came with hardly any vegetables, and a few French fries.
There were 5 staff on duty for us guests and only one other table with guests present. Obviously there was only one single person in the kitchen, since it was evident the bottle neck in the service was in that area.
Although the staff was attentive, due to so many of them and so few of us, they still managed to start mixing the various beer types in our glasses. A bit tragic-comic really.
However, not all was bad.
The music was fine. A nice Duo played a fine mix of Thai and Western pop/rock hits. Especially the lady was impressive, as she had a marvellous voice, which made her able to sing Amy Winehouse songs, as it was Amy herself singing the songs. Was a real joy to listen to this lady perform her various songs. One can only imagine how good she is with a full band backing her
We started to finish off the food items, and though we should have a few drinks after dinner. This meant we were back to the menu again, which also meant some more back and forth with the infamous Thai expression “Mei Mee” (we don’t have).
Spot on again, as drinks after drinks, cocktails after cocktails were Mai Mee and more Mai Mee. It turned out they did not have any bartender on duty this evening, and the waiters did not dare to move behind the bar counter. This is a fairly big Hotel we are talking about here, and NOT some small street vendor.
It started to sink in that a daily manager was most likely NOT even at work, and had let the staff just run the place as best they could. One could feel the frustration in the air, from both gusts and staff. It was so ridicules we started to laugh, which was a bit embarrassing for the staff.
Ok, no drinks then. We drank some more beer.
One in our party suggested for deserts, and I started to giggle, with the remark “do we dare”?
Menu again, and this time a very short and clear answer from the staff......sorry, no deserts today.
We asked for the bill, paid, and left.

Room Tip: Away from the outside band and karaoke part of the hotel.

On the point of leaving after being ignored when the menus turned up. Very limited menu and some were not available. What sort of Thai restaurant doesn't do spring rolls and gaeng keow waan??? Food below average- too cold.
Band playing music to go to sleep by songs.
I wouldn't bother going back.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, price was very good and looking at the hotel outside it looked quite promising however the interior was a nightmare, it was a standard room but standard doesn't mean no need for safety or cleanliness. To Start the bed had no less that 8 ants under the blanket, the bedside lamp was unplugged because the plug and wire sockets on the wall were hanging out, the wardrobe was dirty and smelly, the TV was under the air conditioning unit which after a while leaked water, the WIFI was free but did not work, the receptionist was passable in booking in and the receptionist checking out was not approachable at all. The plus side for this hotel was the food in the restaurant was very good and the restaurant staff were very helpful and polite. They do have a live band in the restaurant next door however this does not disturb you in your room so they have done one thing right inside.I know for fact that you can find a better standard hotel in Khonkaen at a similar price. I would not book here again. The hotel is located about 15 minute Drive from the City.
