“Great Place”
Reviewed 21 April 2012

My family and I (wife and 4 kids) stayed here for two nights. We got a great family room at a great price. The resort is away from everything so you need a taxi to get anywhere. The restuarant is good and the owners are great. Besides the owners the staff did not speak much English. I found that surprising considering most of the guests are Westerners. But the owners are never far away and it was never a real problem.

The resort is beautiful and the pool is great. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

First of all the owners are very helpful, from organising transfers to and from Bangkok airport, to recommendations and answering emails etc. All the staff are also really friendly and professional. We arrived during a thunder storm and we felt very welcomed, and the staff were very efficient in getting us inside with umbrellas etc. Also they kept the restaurant open for us as we arrived later than planned due to traffic from Bangkok.

Room - The room / bungalows are spacious clean and well appointed, the bathroom was also of a great standard, lovely clean towels etc. Nice balconies to sit out on, with mosqiuto coils provided.

Grounds / Pool - The pool is lovely with a few comfy sun beds, never too busy, you can have your drinks around it too. There is a great toilet and changing block next to the pool. The gardens are lovely with lots of beautiful orchids and plants, a few little fish ponds too.

Restaurant - The staff are very attentive, the menu was lovely and we enjoyed all the food we tried. The breakfast choice was good too. Lovely view onto the river from the terrace and nice lighting in the evening.

Overall a great 3 night stay, just what we needed at the beginning of our trip and after our long haul flight over.

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay. Having stayed here 4 years ago, it was an easy choice to return to this hotel. We combined the stay with a spa visit at Suan Nanachaat which is a perfect combination. The rooms are as welcoming as they were 4 years ago. During a rain storm, umbrellas were delivered to each cottage - this was a lovely touch. There was a good choice of breakfast options and we enjoyed some delcious Thai and Western dishes at the restaurant. We will definitely be returning :-)

This beautiful resort was everything that has been written and more. The cabins were tastefully decorated and welcoming, clean, with a veranda to relax and soak in the beauty of the gardens and picture perfect landscaping. Our cabin No. 7 - had our own long walkway and fish filled pond, so lovely to sit and bask in the exotic surroundings. The owners Evelyn and her husband were more like friends than managers/owners of the resort, their children happily playing and Evelyn always ready with a smile and friendly chat. Our only regret is that we did not have more time to spend and hopefully will return one day to this little piece of paradise beside the Kwai river. The only suggestion, not complaint, is that the entrance sign be more easily seen or larger, as this is a place that you don't want to waste a minute of not arriving as soon as you can.

Room Tip: Most of the cabins are situated in lovely secluded spots from one another, I loved our cabin No, 7 a...
