We booked through Agoda and paid about £600 for a superior room for 15 nights. Hotel's position is great, only a 2 minute walk through the gardens to the beach. Directly across the (very busy) road is the Market Village shopping centre. We were given room number F6, which is directly at the side of the pool. First impressions were excellent; nice big room, large double bed with 'mosquito net' (decoration only - see photos), bedside tables with lamps, writing desk & chair, TV cabinet (only English language channel was a religious one with lots of preaching and Hallelujahs) with mini-bar, wardrobe with safe, tea/coffee & (very strange) kettle, bathroom with walk-in shower (not brilliant but perfectly adequate) and sink with no hot water tap - had to boil kettle to shave, not really a problem. Outside was a large patio with 2 chairs, table, ceiling fan and clothes drying rack. Some people on Agoda had written about the noisy aircon system, but we found ours to be no more or less noisy than any other system. Cleaning and towel change occurred daily with no fuss. We were given white towels for the bathroom and blue ones for the pool/beach. 2 free bottles of water provided each day. Our room had windows on 3 sides which was lovely for natural light but not great for privacy. The small pool area next to our room was very convenient. 8 sunbeds of which 4 were at the sunny end (no umbrellas) and 4 at the shady end. The pool area is not really big enough to have all 8 at the same end. Service was fine although the staff spoke very limited English. They were good to let us use their telephone one day. Reception area is right next to the busy road, has free internet and a breakfast area (costs extra). We had a problem with our toilet one day but it was fixed within a couple of hours. Laundry service at reception takes 24 hours and costs 20-30 baht per item, quite useful. There is a 'security guard' at the entrance to the hotel. The hotel sits at right angles to the very busy main road, down a long drive. Our room was about 100m down the drive so was quiet, and we recommend that you ask for a room close to the pool otherwise you will get noise from the road. However, with room F6 being so close to the pool, there can also be noise from the pool especially if there are children at the hotel. There is a tennis court towards the beach. The beach itself is fine, nice sand and shallow sea so is OK for families. We used the second sun bed area to the left, family run, 50 baht per sunbed per day. Good and friendly service, can recommend them for a good lunch, especially the green curry and spring rolls! The main road outside the hotel is a nightmare to cross, the traffic doesn't stop even when you are half way over the crossing. Next door to the hotel is a 7-Eleven. Over the road is Market Village, a new & quite large shopping centre. Loads of shops & stalls, large Tesco at the back, eating/drinking at the front including Starbucks, McDonalds, KFC, pizza, steak, Japanese, all completely character-less! There is a wine bar outside and we recommend trips to their vineyard to see the elephants. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk into town for loads of restaurants, bars etc. The walk is along the very busy road, and the pavement is terrible. It's quite wide but is full of trees, signposts, benches, motorbikes, lamp posts, rubbish bins, high kerbstones, you name it. Impossible to walk in a straight line, have to zig-zag all the time. Because of the busy road and bad pavement, we would not recommend this hotel to families or those with walking difficulties. A tuk-tuk to or from town costs 100 baht. If you can live with the main road and the walk into town, and want to be close to the beach in an hotel with nice surroundings, we recommend this one. We would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip:Book a superior room as close to the pool as possible to avoid the traffic noise. We had room F6...

Just spent 9 nights at just beds @ Baan Rajdamnern, Hua Hin. Booked through Agoda. We paid around £400 for a superior room without breakfast. The room was dissapointing, very basic with a stone floor in a bad state. Sparce furniture & very noisy air con. We did not sleep the first 3 nights. Complained & was moved to another room by lunchtime. This seemed to be quieter but it still woke us up at night. Switched it off at times but room was too hot. The actual place is very pretty outside, looks mediterranean. Lots of flowers & greenery. Small pool in the sun with around 7 sun loungers, bit tatty & old. The beach is just at the end of the garden along a path. It's probably the best bit & it's close to the kiteboarding school. Plenty of room to sit, few sun beds close by to rent or a short walk to more. There are jelly fish in the sea but people including us went in. It's around a 20 min walk to the centre of Hua Hin or a 100 baht by tuk tuk. Across the very busy road from the hotel is Market Village & Tesco lotus. Plenty of places to eat nearby & a 7-11 virtully next door. The hotel staff are friendly & plolite, the housekeeping ladies are lovely & never disturbed us, room always cleaned well. I did get used to the room it soon becomes you little place, i'm not a fussy person but the constant noise from the aircon spoilt it for us. I wouln't stay here again because of that. It needs money spending on.
Room tip: be carefull when walking around the bed, the corners are very sharp.
