it's a new hotel and the rooms are big and clean. comes with breakfast. location is about a 10 minute walk away from the Downtown Hub. which is where you'll find a night street market with loads of great thai food. the spa at the hotel nothing to shout about, give it a miss. otherwise good place to stay while in transition.

For 650 Baht (or 850 with breakfast buffet) you cannot expect five star ambience. But if you only need a bed for the night, maybe to catch the next plane or ferry next day, this is recommendable.

The service was very good: Attentive, friendly and helpful. E.g. we needed a mouse for our notebook and got one free of charge immediately and without any discussion. Not usually in low budget hotels.

Internet is free of charge and available in all rooms via wifi. There are also 2 computers in the lobby with internet access.

The breakfast is good and the restaurant cheap, so also recommend for those, who usually leave the hotel to look for cheap food. Thats not neccessary here.

Of course the furniture and ambience is somehow poor, but considering the price its totally acceptable.

There are shops and restaurants nearby and even the main road is in short walking distance.

Hotel-Taxi to the airport is 500 Baht, but calling a taxi yourself will cost you only 400 Baht :-)

Arrived there by taxi and was super tired but first greeting made our group felt really relax.

The room are clean with the king size bed and it was so comfortable. Little smell from the bathroom and the drain was working not so well. It's a little bit annoying because of Karaoke they have at hotels that go one all night long. Breakfast was very nice with varies option. The hotel arranged a van for the trip the next day to Koh Samui but driver is very rude. All in all, it's great for a one night stay before headed to Samui...

arrived by taxi, a long drive from the airport, about 500 baht. pleasant hotel, good clean room. staff helpful but unable to direct us to center, told us we would need a taxi but it was only 15 mins walk and the bus station even closer, walked there with our luggage. only complaint was the breakfast, they said you had a choice of american. yes there was if by american you mean a cold fried egg and a piece of toast yes. all the other food was not even identified as to what it was by any sort of labelling, just look in the pot and guess.

The One Hotel is suitable for a one night stay before heading over to Koh Samui. It is clean, but dated. The room was large, but less then spectacular, with décor leftover from the 80's. The staff was friendly and helpful, but did not speak very good English. Dinner in the restaurant was decent, but the breakfast was just passable. Still, the price was cheap, and the hotel arranged a van for the trip the next day to Koh Samui.

If you are looking for a cheap place to spend the night, as I was, then the One Hotel is ok. If you are going to spend a few days, then I would look elsewhere. The neighbourhood has no ambiance at all. I went for a walk that evening at around 8pm, and found almost nothing open.

Room Tip: Just get the cheapest one you can find. I had booked the larger "grand deluxe" room, because it looked so nice in the photos. In reality, it was not very grand or deluxe. A cheaper "superior" room would have suited the purpose just as well, and saved me 200 baht.
