I have not actually visited here but from looking at the pictures I am absolutely disgusted by the mistreatment of these poor animals. DO NOT support this by visiting. Having pictures taken with chained up animals is bad enough- let alone making animals take part in a show for the “entertainment” of tourists. This place needs to be shut down. Shocking.
If you have any shred of compassion for animal welfare don't visit this zoo. The conditions that the animals are kept in are shocking.
There is a section where you can feed baby tigers, these are obviously starving as the reaction to being fed shows. There are kept in metal cages that are approximately 1mx1mx1m. Far too small for the animal.
One of their features is a sow feeding tiger cubs. The sow cannot stand due to the cage she is kept in and the tiger cub we saw was just asleep on the floor of the pen and showed no interest in anything.
Next door to this is a nursing tiger with two piglets. Presumably from the sow. She wouldn't let the piglets anywhere near her.
Other animals are also kept in conditions that are unsuitable. Rabbits left in the sun with no shade, hay and limited food,
You can also have your picture taken with a fully grown tiger that appeared to be sedated.
We unfortunately witnessed a crocodile show that consisted of the trainers tormenting them until they snapped.
All in all it was a truly horrendous experience.
Nice place to bring the little ones to see some wild animals. Main attractions are tiger, elephants and crocodile shows.
This should be a miss. The animals are not kept safely. No bedding small cages or elephants kept on chains and crocodiles kept in un healthy conditions.
This place deserves no money as it is not put towards the keep of the animals.
I initially felt that it would be like any other zoo, that is seeing a few animals prowling in their cages or compounds. The reality was that tigers, elephants, and crocodiles were the source of some exciting performances.
The finale to see volunteers sitting next to a huge tiger and hugging it was amazing. One assumes that the tiger had to be sedated, they are wild animals after all!
We went to Sriracha with family of 10 - that includes adults, kids and infants.
Personally, I feel there is not much of a play area for children's other than animal shows; which you typically see in European parks/ zoos. It's all about animal shows and their activities.
1. We only enjoyed Elephant show out of all - tiger show was bit on the down side.
2. Has very limited food options available in the zoo and they are at the entrance of the zoo; so if you need something, its a long walk.
3. All shows having commentary in local language, so normally you don't understand half of the shows and info they talk about animals. They should have some recordings in English.
4. If you are travelling with your baby/ infant - taking a stroller/ pram would be ideal.
5. Overall an average experience.
