Stayed 2 nights and it did the trick. Clean spacious room. Carpet could do with some serious clean up but overall it was fine. It's no smoking which is a plus but obviously not every guest can keep there nicotine fix at bay . Noticeable cigarette burn ( only 1 ) in the carpet in my room. Conveniently close to Paris Baguette and A Twosome Place for easy coffee. There's also a McDonalds two steps away which can be convenient in a bind.

The advantage to staying here is the proximity of the historical sites. You can walk easily to the tumulus burial sites the museum and the the Anapji Pond. Or you can catch a number of buses across the street. I took the 605 to the museum but there are many more that go there namely the 10
The KTX station is easily reached in about 25 minutes.

I chose this hotel because the Express Bus Terminal is located nearby. However, the backstreets for reasons known best to local are lined with many love motels. There is a McDonald’s and a café nearby. Many convenience stores, bakeries and restaurants are just around the corner. The bus stop to tourist spots is just outside the hotel. The Tourist Information Office is at the junction nearby.

The rooms are huge but a bit dusty. My wife was sneezing frequently whenever she is in the room. Should do a thorough vacuum cleaning. One of rooms has 2 huge sofas which occupied space unnecessarily. The wifi signal is hopeless. The light control has a bright blue glow that is not conducive for a good restful sleep.

Some TV channels are free and some are chargeable - a bit strange in terms of management's strategy. We did not opt for breakfast as we prefer to eat local breakfast on the streets.

This is definitely below our expectation.

One of the worst 4 Tripadvisor recommended hotel. Buffet breakfast was cancelled without notification, staffs were having private conversation over the phone - we had to call them several times. Hope the services better as location is quite good

The TA selection of hotels for Gyeongju was limited. Choosing a clean, three star hotel in the town area of Gyeongju is a challenge because most of the "motel" like places are love motels or low budget places. We didn't want to sleep on the floor and wanted to be in town in a "nice" hotel, so the big hotels in the Bomun resort area were not an option. Turned out that we made the right choice. This hotel has an inviting lobby, and the deluxe room we stayed in was spacious, big bathroom with shower separate from the large tub and the location was excellent for visiting the historic areas. The desk staff had limited English speaking skills but they had one person who could communicate at a passable level. They went out of their way to help us reserve a taxi to tour the outlying areas and give us suggestions for dinner.

First, location. We took the express bus from Busan airport (about 70 minutes and only 9,000 won per person) and arrived in town at the express bus station. The tourist kiosk was a few steps away and we started our visit there with a very helpful woman who pulled out the map and showed us the places to visit and spoke English very well. We asked where our hotel was and she pointed in the direction down the street and said about a block away. Dragging our luggage for one block was very easy and we could see the hotel from the street, even though it is set back from the street with a parking lot in front. The hotel is on one of the main streets through town, with alot of bread specialty stores and fast food places. A dessert cafe is next door for sandwiches. Korean restaurants are on the side streets. The main historic park with burial mounds begins about a 15 minute walk away through the hotel but I'd recommend taking a taxi for only 3000 won (about $2.75) to the fabulous Gyeongju museum which is about a 10 minute drive away (a little too far to walk) then starting the visit to the sites. The historic park area is spread apart and distances are walkable but not close and taxis are cheap, saving energy to walk the actual distances from the attraction gate to the site. I don't recommend walking after dark because the lighting is inconsistent, the alleys, sidewalks and streets aren't always clear of obstructions, and the ground has cracks and potholes. We took a taxi to and from the restaurant for dinner (also 3000 won base fare).

Room: we reserved a deluxe double room with a queen and twin bed and two desk areas and two unattractive but comfortable recliner chairs. The AC worked fine. The room looked over the back of the building, at other buildings, but was very quiet. The floors were hardwood, no carpet. Our one criticism is that the room was a little dusty -- like it hadn't been used for a while. It wasn't dirty, it had obviously been cleaned, but there was dust. The beds were very firm. The large size of the room was relief from the very small deluxe rooms we'd stayed in Seoul. The safe was a joke since it could be lifted and carried out with no effort.

Breakfast: Our room rate included breakfast and it was a small but adequate buffet. There was no pastry and only the typical "japanese" style (big square soft white bread) bread for toast. Paris Baguette is close by down the street for a breakfast venue option.

Service and general hotel: The young people working at the desk try very hard to be helpful. We had to wait for the English speaking desk staffer to arrive and when she did, she and others worked together to help us with tour arrangements. There is only one small elevator which is sufficient for the size of the hotel. The carpet in the common areas of the floor was torn and stained should be cleaned or replaced, as well as the carpet in the dining room. The main lobby was generally attractive. We had difficulty making a reservation over six months in advance on their website because it was only in Korean and the online booking sites said "no availability." So we had a friend do it for us. But we noticed about 60 days out, the hotel appeared on the online booking sites with availability, but slightly more expensive than the rate we were quoted.

In general, all the tripadvisor awarded hotels are quite satisfying except this hotel. Its clean but hotel service is 3 star equivalent ( even though hotel entrance says that they are 4 stars ). Location is good though
