Last night we ate at the Lark Tavern (4 adults, 1 child), and the new owners Ryan and Mary are doing an outstanding job. The decor is all new, there is a baby grand piano in the bar, and the dining room is expanded. There are tin ceilings and two stages for musicians. There were 10 TVs and an extensive menu...everything from sandwiches to surf and turf. The pizzas are excellent, too. And the desserts...yum! This was our first visit since it reopened, and we'll we back! *and there is a parking lot behind it*

Lark street is a world of it's own! There are great little cafes, shops and art galleries from one end to the other. If you are ever in need of something to do on a weekend or looking for great atmosphere and great food...Lark Street is the place. Bomber's burrito Bar is amazing and you get a HUGE margarita on your bithday for free!! Awesome food and people.

We'd been told that Lark Street was the cultural centre of Albany with a village feel. Well it didn't look that way to us. Had a sandwich and coffee in the excellent "Daily Grind". Very friendly staff and sandwiches to die for.
