Description: Nazareth dishes with a Mediterranean , Morrocan , Persian , Italian , French , and Indian twists !! And what a twist it was. It is our opinion that the food served here combined with the ambiance of a 200 years old restored mansion and the friendliness of the owner leaves all the other restaurants in Nazereth or Israel for that matter far, far in its wake!!

“A special and quiet place in a town out of time”

We spend with my husband a short vacation in Nazareth and looking for a good coffee we entered into El-Reda.We discovered a wonderfull place with confortable and warm furniture and had the coffee we were expected. But we found much more:a very warm and special atmosphere,a place very authentic were we felt that the three religions living together here in Nazareth may really be connected and have a real talk. And in fact we had some good talks with the boss(we came back twice)-he is muslim,we are jewish israelis and next to us were seating french christians. But the main thing for a coffee-restaurant is -of course-what is served. This part also was very satisfacting. The bar has a very rich selection of whisky and Armagnac that delighted me.

“Most amazing place we ate/stayed at in Israel, Palestine or Jordan”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2012

El Reda... What can we say? After visiting Fauzi Inn and another nearby inn, we decided to give El Reda a go despite the steep price because it supposedly had one beautiful suite above the restaurant. Boy was that an understatement.

The room above the restaurant was exquisite. It was the nicest place I have ever stayed IN MY LIFE and my family and I have traveled extensively and often frequent gorgeous boutique hotels. El Reda was something else. We stepped in, gasped, and took the room on the spot - despite the price. The views from all 360 degrees were stunning, the decor was impeccable with a fully equipped kitchenette, a lovely bathroom, two comfortable beds and the aura that you were in your own home.

Breakfast was served at 10:30am sharp and was never ending! It was fantastic, with a delicious mix of local and western foods. We ate and ate and ate until noon before we left, completely satisfied.

Finally, we ate at El Reda twice. We rarely eat at the hotels we stay at, but the guidebook gave the restaurant such a wonderful review that we decided to try it. It was the best meal we had had on our entire trip: stuffed portobello mushrooms, cheese steak, stuffed chicken, wine aplenty. cheesecake... In fact, it was so good that the following afternoon, before meeting some other people for supper at another restaurant, I had an additional supper beforehand because the stuffed portobello mushrooms were DIVINE.

I cannot stop praising El Reda. If you can't afford to stay in their suite, or if it's booked, then do yourself a favour and at least dine there! If you can afford the suite, don't even THINK of staying anywhere else!

“third time , perfect pleasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2012

once again in this amazingly beautiful place, high quality creative dishes and great warm atmosphere .
i tried two new dishes : 1st the R'assan's goat cheese, fried in butter with vegetables , very well spiced but not hot ; a genuine combination of spices! 2nd beef fillet in cognac butter & pepper, perfect, no words!
an advice for the fundamental anti-smokers, and generally to foreigners who forget being a guest in a place which does not belong to them, but to the local people: this place owned by a Nazarethian, meant to serve first of all Nazarethians; declared at the entrance as a smokers place! if cigarette smoke disturbs you so much, do not enter to a places where smoke is allowed! if you do enter it (and you definitely should, for you own pleasure) you loose any right to complain! remember : you are a foreign tourist, coming to learn, watch and enjoy, not to judge the habits of others!!!

“Much ado about nothing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2012

After having eaten here, i really dont understand the hype. I read about this place on tripadvisor and in the lonely planet and heared a lot about it from the hotel staff. The food was nice but one tends to get too much in most Arab places, here I got too little. The quality of the dish was unremarkable. Liked the atmosphere and design but the smoking waiter not so much. The smoking in here is a noyance in general. Also relativly expensive by the way this place is.

Here is what I understand from your review : Arabs should give bigger dishes , Arabs should be less expensive = cheaper , arabs should not smoke in their place that is declared as smoker's place !!!!!
thank you ( ????????? ) jovane !!

“Good food, nice atmosfere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2012

We liked the food and atmosfere of this place. On the downside: smoking is allowed and there's no smoke free zone. Looking for an culinairy experience, you dont want to be blown away by other people's nasty habits.

Dear firefairy 1981
you liked the food and atmosphere , thank you !
tell me please what is more nasty : thousands of km away from your country , telling others what is nasty and what is not nasty of their habits , or entering a declared " smoker's place " and complaning about smoke and smokers in the smoker's place ??
What is it that gives you the right to judge other's habits in their homeland ??!!
you can still overthrow your review , or apologize and change it !!
