“Not That Good”
Reviewed 11 February 2012

This is a new hotel, furnished in modern style.
The room was clean, well equipped, amenities were OK, large bathroom (no tub), no balcony for executive rooms. The LCD TV setting was not in a proper viewing angle for me (which facing the bed in approx 25 degree off the bed center) so it was torturing my neck.
Located next to cihampelas mall and only steps away from the hectic and rushy main road where you can find lots of shops selling pretty inexpensive but in descent quality stuff like tshirt, shorts, jeans, jacket, etc.
Next to the mall, there are some restaurant serving local and import food in acceptable price. But this area was crowded by groups of youth (because it was weekend, perhaps).
Talking about food, I was pleased with the breakfast menu in the hotel. It was vary and tasty, not perfect but good enough.
My bad experience was the late check in. I arrived at 2pm, sharp. But the room was not ready and I had to wait for an almost an hour.
Finally got into my room at 2:50 and 10 minutes later I was surprised because a hotel staff brought me a pack of candy as a complimentary apology. ???
Another thing is, i didnt see much hotel staff around to help the incoming guest. Well, i only met the receptionist, the one who brought complimentary supplement and the breakfast counter staff. Compared to other hotel i've stayed in before, seeing only three staff during an overnight stay is just questionable.
All in all, this is a good hotel if you are in business or shopping trip. But if you look for a nice tranquil surroundings and warm service to release some tense, this one might not be the best option to pick.

Room Tip: Executive rooms in higher place have better view, but no balcony. The Suite is overpriced.

The location of Sensa Hotel is good as it is just beside CiWalk Mall, which makes
dining very convenient when you are lazy to venture out. The road outside is always
very busy and dusty and jammed with cars, angkotans, etc.

There are angkotans going to Rumah Mode and Jalan Dago on the opposite one way street
of Jln Cipaganti. Just ask the driver and hop on. It costed about IDR2k to Dago, but
will have to transfer another angkotan (another IDR 1K) to the factory outlets. Did
not take that to Rumah Mode. We took a cab called by the hotel and it costed IDR35k.
We felt ripped off as the taxi's aircon was not working and it was a very, very old
taxi. We minus one point for the hotel for this.

The bed/pillows were very comfortable, as what others say. Amenities were adequent
and room was bright with 3 windows. So far, this is the only hotel room I have stayed
that has most windows. Most hotels only have one window. The shower area is unique
with no door but the floor does not get wet. The only problem we had was the safe
which was not working. Fedback the problem to hotel but no action was taken, even
till the day we checked out. Another negative point.

Breakfast was great with a lot of variety and we got to taste the mie baso one morning.
That was great because we got to taste this popular street food without having to
worry that we will get a stomach upset!

The hotel provides free transfer from the airport but the return journey costs IDR75000.

Overall, a value for money hotel because of its location and comfort level.

Room Tip: Do not get taxi thru the hotel. You can get cheaper ones outside

This is one of the the newer hotels which is attached to an open air mall which has a few restaurants, cafes, retail shops, department store and a supermarket. Location is great and is walking distance to a local shopping strip and near to the factory outlets. Our room rate at USD80 included a substantial buffet breakfast which had a huge variety of local and western food. Good pool with spacious contemporary styled clean rooms and bathroom. The hotel arranged an air conditioned late model van and driver to take our group around for a very reasonable daily charge, paid directly to the driver. Would definately stay here again

Room Tip: Try to get a room at a higher floor which would provide a good view of the surroundings and hills in...

I stay in sensa about one month ago for just for one night actually. oke, I start my review about Hotel sensa, 1st hotel sensa have a very modern architectural, this hotel is quite new hotel in Bandung, the furniture is also still brand new, this hotel interior is designed with modern style. the hotel is very clean and nice. also you can see a view of Bandung city from your room. If you like shopping, want to find nice place for hangout, around this hotel is ciwalk mall so you can shop and hangout till u droop "hehehhe" and also around sensa hotel you can find so variety of restaurant. So if you like the crowded atmosphere I suggest you stay in hotel sensa may, because Sensa hotel located in the middle of the shopping area.

Stayed there for 4 nites. Have to agree with reviews saying the hotel showing signs of tear and it was actually my first impression when stepped into the room. Given that the hotel is relatively new, it is such a pity. But to be fair, that didnt actually affected our stay. All in all, it was pleasant. Love the minimalistic and modern deco. We ordered room service twice and have to say, the food was really good. Breakfast was alright, rotated menu for 2/3 days. But after the 4th morning, we grew tired already. Staffs were courteous and friendly. And having a shopping mall just next door is a plus point.
