Very good value for money with extremely friendly staff. Rooms are nice with a balcony offering an amazing view over the palm trees and green fields. The breakfast was good and the owner (Ubud born) was really trying to make everyone enjoy their stay.

We visited Bucu View last year and returned again because it is such a lovely place. The views are spectacular and the rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. All of the staff are lovely and very helpful. We travel with younger children and my parents and we all enjoy staying here. It is close enough to the hectic main streets and far enough from them to relax. They have a new restaurant onsite and the food is very delicious and well priced.

This was a great hotel and place to stay! The welcome drink you get when you check in is very tasty, the rooms are very clean and nice and the free breakfast is delicious. The jungle views from the hotel are so beautiful and hearing the river down below was nice and peaceful. The pool is nice and clean and a great place to lounge around during the day.

We stayed with our 2 children for 3 days and it was really excellent. The rooms are beautiful and natural with heaps of space and comfort. We shared adjoining rooms which was perfect. Nestled in the greenery Bucu View is just off the beaten track and so tranquil but still only a 15 minute stroll to the centre of Ubud.
The food is average but there are so many great restaurants so close that it wasn't an issue. Highly recommend for a few days peace and quiet!

The location was amazing, overlooking the rainforest and surrounded by lush greenery. It is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Ubud but it feels like you are a million miles away from anywhere and anyone.

However, please note if you are walking into Ubud or to eat out at night (quite a few eateries close by), there is a steep driveway of some 200 meters, which might not be suitable for mature travellers with mobility problems.

It is so peaceful and quiet, perfect for anyone trying to relax and unwind. Also, it has a beautiful pool overlooking the rain forest below. We stayed in the Butterfly Corner Suite on the third floor – which we loved. Two walls of full length windows overlooking the jungle and the river below. Wonderful laying in the bath looking out at all the tree tops. Also a very large balcony with a view to remember. Super King size bed with good bed linen.

Breakfast is chosen from a menu – enough choice to start the day.

I hope the hotel appreciates the asset they have in the young lad dressed in Balinese costume that served us breakfast. His English was very good compared to the other staff we met (especially at reception) and his smile lit up the room.

There is some construction work going on, but as we were out most of the day I cannot say how noisy this might be if you were at the hotel all day.

Pool towels and lounges are provided.

Although I think new sun umbrellas are needed, as they spoil the overall look of the garden.

I would recommend to anyone staying in Ubud to consider Bucu View – I doubt you will regret it.
