This was a great hotel and place to stay! The welcome drink you get when you check in is very tasty, the rooms are very clean and nice and the free breakfast is delicious. The jungle views from the hotel are so beautiful and hearing the river down below was nice and peaceful. The pool is nice and clean and a great place to lounge around during the day.

We stayed with our 2 children for 3 days and it was really excellent. The rooms are beautiful and natural with heaps of space and comfort. We shared adjoining rooms which was perfect. Nestled in the greenery Bucu View is just off the beaten track and so tranquil but still only a 15 minute stroll to the centre of Ubud.
The food is average but there are so many great restaurants so close that it wasn't an issue. Highly recommend for a few days peace and quiet!

The location was amazing, overlooking the rainforest and surrounded by lush greenery. It is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Ubud but it feels like you are a million miles away from anywhere and anyone.

However, please note if you are walking into Ubud or to eat out at night (quite a few eateries close by), there is a steep driveway of some 200 meters, which might not be suitable for mature travellers with mobility problems.

It is so peaceful and quiet, perfect for anyone trying to relax and unwind. Also, it has a beautiful pool overlooking the rain forest below. We stayed in the Butterfly Corner Suite on the third floor – which we loved. Two walls of full length windows overlooking the jungle and the river below. Wonderful laying in the bath looking out at all the tree tops. Also a very large balcony with a view to remember. Super King size bed with good bed linen.

Breakfast is chosen from a menu – enough choice to start the day.

I hope the hotel appreciates the asset they have in the young lad dressed in Balinese costume that served us breakfast. His English was very good compared to the other staff we met (especially at reception) and his smile lit up the room.

There is some construction work going on, but as we were out most of the day I cannot say how noisy this might be if you were at the hotel all day.

Pool towels and lounges are provided.

Although I think new sun umbrellas are needed, as they spoil the overall look of the garden.

I would recommend to anyone staying in Ubud to consider Bucu View – I doubt you will regret it.

What a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful location overlooking the river and the forest
The owners Ayu and Wayan are so in touch with nature you feel their spirituality
We stayed for 6 nights from 29th April and the location is away from the hassle and bustle of Ubud centre but only a 10min walk to the shopping
We will return next year
Thank you Ayu

What a wonderful place to relax and recharge. We started off in a very nice junior suite, and after two nights upgraded to a corner suite with tub overlooking the pool and jungle in the valley for five more nights. The larger suite had Two walls of windows to fill our room with light and a generous balcony overlooking the pool. The bath tub was luxurious and we had a separate shower and separate toilet room as well as a dressing area.
The breakfasts were excellent, particularly the plate of fresh fruits. Service was always friendly and accommodating. The location is close enough to walk to downtown Ubud but far enough to escape traffic sounds and hear the birds.
Highly recommend.
