Fields are nice but they are bit far from Road. It's always crowded here. We did not enjoy much.Just be careful about where you step/sit when taking picture

I’ve been to this terrace many times before and it never fails to disappoint me!! Gorgeous views. I see they now have a swing and nest for pictures. Kinda ruins it for me but I still recommend because of the views!

Had a wonderful experience around Ubud booked a full day tour via Destination Asia - our tour guide was Sudarma, absolutely sublime! A wealth of knowledge. And the Tegalalang Rice fields were spectacular!

Very nice view and an amazing experience
You better visit in the early morning or at noon, avoid visiting when it’s hot
Wear a comfort clothes and a sport shoes
Take as much tissue as you can, you will sweat a lot
It’s a must to try the swing, they are everywhere

Tegalalang (about 25 min from Ubud) is one of my favorite spots in Bali, and a must do for any first time visitor. It’s hard to beat it at sunrise

Great adventure, good to try something completely different. The humid conditions made it slightly sweatier work, but at the same time it was fun, and I relaxed with ice cold coconut water afterwards.

Pros:
- much cheaper than the Bali Swing and still great photos. The Bali Swing is around 450K Rupiah but the Tegalang Swing at the back is only 50K (£2.50). You get buckled in so it's safe and the guy is very friendly and doesnt try and con you. (If you're eating at a restaurant, most of them also have a swing so you can get free time on a swing with your meal)

- the paths are well laid out and not too steep. Some paths are under construction (Nov 2018) but the farmers then point out how to get round and back on the path

- no need to pay to get in. However, there are some parts where there is a farmer asking for 5000 Rupiah or so to pass. If you don't want to pay, just go down another route. 5000 Rupiah is very very cheap though...

- Beautiful platforms throughout the fields to take #instaworthy photos on haha. There is a Titanic ship near the end which is super cheap (10K) if you want a different pic to all the swing pics.

Cons:
- If a man approaches you on the main road trying to help you park, and then claims he wants to give you and him good karma by giving you free tea testers - do not follow. This man leads you to a legit cafe he owns and gives you testers but then pushes you to buy his products. We said no so then he took us back up and told us to remove our bikes form where we parked and kept shouting at us.

- If you park in the space opposite the entrance, you do NOT need to buy the 10K entrance ticket. It's a scam. No one checks tickets etc for entrance and no ticket is needed.

Pros: Great view of the rice fields, you can take photos among the paddy fields which makes it unique, good scenery
Cons: The pathway can get a bit muddy if there was rain
Overall, highly recommend the place for the scenery

Such an amazing experience, you need to have a lot of stamina going up and down but totally worth it.
