We had great expectations of this villa, having booked this via Travel Counsellors and our agent, Vanessa de Vere, having actually stayed in this complex so was booked on her recommendation. We arrived at this villa at night time after travelling all day from Sydney, Australia. We were greeted and went straight to bed. Upon daylight inspection we found this villa to be in need of an upgrade - it was furnished quite poorly and there were areas that needed attention. The bathroom was dated, the kitchen needed a new sink and some upgrading too, along with the pool area. This was a peaceful area but there was only a small shop just up the road selling basic items, we didn't manage to find a proper supermarket or shop that sold necessities to keep us fed enough so we had to eat out every evening and make do with bread, eggs, cheese and crisps for breakfast and lunch. They did not have anywhere in this complex to have a drink or to buy any type of food items - something they are really missing here. The maid was very kind and helpful - almost too helpful as was with us for a long time each day and made us feel uncomfortable - this is not necessary. The internet was very poor in the villa but quite good in the reception area. There was only a tv in one bedroom. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with our two older children, aged 25 and 19.

We are sorry you're not happy with the overall condition.
On the positive side we have taken the last three months of zero vacancies with the coronavirus pandemic to totally retouch and improve all the villas. So hopefully no one in the future will complain about needing an update.
Regarding your complaint about no grocery stores close by I am surprised to hear that because the Hardee's grocery store one the largest in Bali is only a five minute drive or 10 to 15 minute walk.
There is also a smaller grocery store only 10 minutes away.
And if you don't feel like going out for groceries you can actually order them with an on line service and they will deliver them directly to your door.
We stopped having restaurant services last year because there were so many restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk that our guests were not utilizing our restaurant.
At any rate rest assured our villas have been completely renovated in the last few months and will be ready to provide our guests better villas and service than they expected.

I’m not quite sure what happened with our stay at Emerald Villa but the villa we stayed in was poor. We arrived on the first day with 2 alive cockroaches and multiple dead ones... every morning we went into the bathroom and found some new friends. The bedsheets smelt terrible and were finally changed on the 3rd night. The cleaning schedule was a little strange also, the maid would come around 9am and disappear down a corridor to the joining villa for 3ish hours.

Lovely room, pool, staff. Close to everything. They helped to organise a banquet for our friend’s birthday. Close to many places.Anna warung. Bagus supermarket for SIM cards, food, alcohol, beautiful cards for many occasions. Daily baguette, lovely drivers, Mr Norman sitting outside Bagus supermarket.Tirda in B17 AMAZING!
Really cosy villas. Comfy rooms, big shadowed territory. A lot of greens. Small but nice pool can refresh you. Cleaning every day. Many sea-shore restaurants about 10 minutes walk, but you can find good food and beer in local warung just outside the gate. Good enough supermarket across the road.
We're fully satisfied with rest here.

We have absolutely loved our time at the Emerald Villas. Our Villa was spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet and had everything we needed for a very relaxing stay. The beds are comfortable (although the rooms are a little bright in the morning). The pool was delightful - very clean and offered plenty of shade. The villas are in an excellent location with the beach, great restaurants, convenience store, ATM etc all just a short walk away. We are already planning our next visit!
